    Hi, I am an engineer and long time woodworker, but brand new to CNC. I have to say, I love your style of teaching. It is absolutely perfect for someone like me. I am detail oriented and thorough; I want to know everything before I embark on a new thing. Your slow and steady delivery convey confidence and assurance. You are thorough, showing many details often glossed over by other "instructors" on RUclips. I don't comment often, but I had to say... THANK YOU!!

    this is my first carveco software use and this video explained so well. i took 2 hrs to watch the video and practically doing and understanding everything by pausing/reviewing the video again and again. ultimately all basic things are in place of my mind that will never forget. thanks for making this video with full dedication and patience.. thanks again

    I'm new to this so came here to learn. Let's say that after making this plaque I wanted to make 3 more on one piece of wood. How do I group/attach the toolpath to the vector to be able to copy and paste to make more or just to move for centering etc.? I'm having trouble with my first project doing this. Thanks

      Hi Ronald. You can select additional vectors which will machine the additional features. If you are still stuck, drop our support team an email - support@carveco.com

    Hmmm ... Font vector problems? Wouldn't it be better to edit & correct the font rather than experience this repeated error every time that font is used?

    Great video, really helpful. Curious if there's a way to add multiple colors to different areas to simulate a multi color carve?

    • @Carveco
      @Carveco  8 месяцев назад

      Hi, yes, there is, but it is only available in Carveco Maker Plus and gives a colour simulation.

    When you go to machine this, how do you know which end mill to install in your router first? Does the machine stop after it's done that type of tool path and tell you to put another end mill for the other cuts? How do you know which on to put in your router at that time????

    • @Carveco
      @Carveco  3 года назад +2

      If you save this to separate files, then correct, the machine will stop, you manually change tool, set it up and then run the second toolpath. Providing you have the tools set in the correct order and have "append details" turned on, it will give you information on what tool to use. Of course, there is always a risk of human error.

    I'm stuck at creating a toolpath for the two holes. I can't get it set up to do both holes simultaneously. I can select one or the other but not both together. What am I missing?

    • @Carveco
      @Carveco  2 года назад +1

      Hi Doug, you need to select one of the holes (which should then turn a pink colour) then hold Shift down on the keyboard and select the other one and then calculate the toolpath.

    Your circle must be smaller than the tool or it with not build the toolpath...and give no explanation why. So if you are getting a message that says "No toolpath was created for current tool", make sure the hole to be cut is larger than the bit doing the cutting. Probably a stupid move on my part, but it took me a while to figure out...maybe this will help someone in the future.

    • @Carveco
      @Carveco  11 месяцев назад

      If it is size on size then yes it will give that message, especially if the tolerance has been altered from the default value.

    Can't get toolpath to follow vector

    • @Carveco
      @Carveco  11 дней назад

      Hi Mark, sounds like an issue with the tolerance. If you set it back to 0.025mm or 0.001", it should be ok. If it isnt, I'd send our support team the .art file so they can look into it for you.
