Have you considered separating out some of the content into different, shorter-length clips which are more "here's what it takes to achieve task x"? I have the basics of Carveco now - so didn't really need the explanation of how to create text, choose fonts, manipulate vectors etc. But I was looking for a sort of "recipe" for how to do the stacked text effect. As an alternative, you could break a longer video into chapters now that RUclips supports that? I did go and look at the video you created in response to Michael Zingali's somewhat "blunt" comment - but that's at the other extreme - a slient screengrab of driving Carveco really doesn't help as it's so difficult to follow what your mouse/keyboard is doing.
Good video, Leighton. I don't think you would actually cut all that material with a 1/16" bit but for video purposes it makes sense. Or at least I wouldn't cut all the material with a 1/16" bit - :) I'll have to go back and watch the previous method but from what I recall about it this does look a bit cleaner.
I just bought the carverco. I love the things it can do, but honestly, its pain in the *ss to figure out things like this. I wasted hours to fix the green circle problems, but the CUT tool doesn't do anything sometimes. This tutorial is the way to go for 2 text overlap combination. (there is a lot weird thing to me. like the tools. Its need to be a button for it. I need to make a toolpath, and select tool, to get there.)
anyone trying this works great for several different things after the first flood fill and you do the second flood fill vector just hit clear on top of bitmap drop down menu
Would love to try this. Unfortunately, my carveco maker software currently lets me type vertically only. Any simple fix to this? Thanks, your videos have helped greatly in design,
Hi Michael. It sounds like either the font that you have selected is a Chinese font (denoted by an @ sign at the front of the name) or you have the Rotation set to 90 degrees. If you still have problems with it, please send the .art file over to our support team to take a look at it and they will be able to help - support@carveco.com
I got lost somewhere, when you selected the combined vectors then deleted them, you never showed how, but just said "delete them" I tried hitting delete, instead I got a window a massage like if I delete the combined vectors I will revert to the default vector. How did you use the delete without deleting everything. Thanks
Send the .art file over to support@carveco.com for them to take a look at Michael, this normally happens when there is a problem with the font that is being used and has loops or intersections.
So I have followed this and did a step by step and still cant seem to get it maybe do a video and highlight the actual things needed to make the project and less minutia and focus on the goal GET TO THE POINT!!!
About to start using my new CNC Router & after extensive research seem to think that Carveco Maker is the best CAD software for me. Have spent considerable time on RUclips viewing all the various Tutorials & examples of how & not to do things. However I have got to say that listening to Leighton is hard work. He does seem to waffle on a bit & I find myself spending more time waiting for his ‘O’K’s’ after every statement which is distracting me from what is actually being explained. O’k. So please can you try to stop all the ‘O’K’s from your narrations in future posts please? O’K. O’K
Thanks for your positive comments as always Rich. I have passed on your feedback to Leighton who created a shortened video for you without all the chit chat - ruclips.net/video/QxMTtCDs-Zo/видео.html
@@Carveco Don't take this personally presenter, this guys RIch is frustrated because he can't figure it out. Having watched the video it is so easy and I can do it every time. Great video for us newbie wannabees👍
Thank You Leighton, excellent video as always!

Thank you mate! Ok. It was very informative! Ok. Cant wait till the next one. Ok. Made me subscribe. Ok 😁😂😂👍 OK!!!!

How do you delete the vectors at 19:15 in the video??? Can't figure that out without deleting the whole layer.
select vectors then click EDIT then click DELETE. Has same issue. ;-( ;-)
@@maxver46 Thank you so much for that! I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. You saved the day :)
can't figure why I cant calculate a tool path, it said I have 2 or more of the selected vectors overlap each other??

I cant follow this..ive done it like 50 times.and no luck
If you save your progress, send it over to support@carveco.com , maybe they will be able to give you some pointers Rich.
Same here. Same for the previous stacked text video from them as well. Yet I can do it at work with VCarvePro no problem. Very frustrating.
