- A Tennessee couple was killed in Texas after a dramatic big rig chase and shootout with Texas law enforcement officers. During a high-speed chase for the couple suspected of smuggling cocaine, Elizabeth and Edward Stevenson opened fire on Texas officers, who returned fire and ultimately killed them.

Doing their jobs. They've been investigating them for some time. They raided their house last week but the couple were not there. They can't just run in & grab people based on a hunch. They have to get evidence & a warrant first, which they apparently did.
Feel good stories are rare these days. 😂

I’m glad our police have put a stop to this. Whatever happened to the CIA when they were bringing in drugs? We’re they ever punished? They only made a movie with Tom Cruise in it. Just wondering.
Decriminalize all drugs
That only works in a healthy society with decent healthcare & social safety nets like in a lot of Europe. Here in America, that would be an absolute disaster.
Voting for a social safety net with FDR and LBJ did more destruction than all the wars. Look around, we have disaster with and partially because of drug laws.
