I have had an experience of almost being downgraded from business to economy premium by BA. On the day before I flew back from London to HK, I logged onto the BA website to confirm and select my seat. But it was strange that It did not allow me to do so. As such, I arrived earlier to the Heathrow airport the next day only to find that the BA staff needed to check my right to enter HK (I bought the ticket with my Australian passport). After showing my HK ID card, they then confirmed I could fly but the seat was downgraded to economy premium which they explained was due to another flight to HK being cancelled that day. I asked them to find me a business class seat by all means despite they have issued me with the economy seat ticket. However after I entered the BA lounge, the staff there said they would issue me an updated ticket which I found has restored to the business class again. In conclusion, I think the fact that I could not confirm and choose seat the day before was the root cause of such hiccup. This is the first time that they needed to check my right to enter HK. Very funny that I used to fly from Australia to HK but never with such hassle.
謝謝分享,非常有用!
你太客氣了 😊
而家好似好少航空公司會provide酒店給轉機的乘客,請問可不可以將南方航空提供酒店的連結網站給我們?🙏

It’s so wonderful that they could restore your business class seat eventually. Thanks for your sharing. 😊
Apparently, BA tried not to let you boarding due to no biz class offered.
👍🏻
咁長途,點都唔坐econ,好辛苦
