Mikey, my husband and I live in Oklahoma. We want to welcome you and your beautiful fiancé to America. We are thrilled you are here, and look forward to seeing you become American citizens. We feel you already are part of us. We enjoy watching your reactions and we can’t wait to watch your progress here. May God bless you and keep you both. You will be in our prayers.❤

Dollar Tree for the little stuff. All $1.25 each... Toothpaste, Shampoo, Mouthwash and tons of other snick-snacks Tons of them in Texas.

Up here in Plano, Texas we shop for our groceries predominantly at Kroger and Aldi but will still have specialty things we buy at HEB, Trader Joe's or Walmart Neighborhood Market. We used to buy all of our bulk items only at Costco but because it's gotten so busy here we also paid for a membership a few years ago to Sam's Club and that has lessened how often we go to Costco. If we had to compare them both then yeah, Costco is better but about half of all of the stuff we used to buy at Costco we now buy at Sam's and that goes with gas too because Costco is so damn overcrowded. If money was no object then we'd shop for groceries at Central Market because they are amazing but also very pricey. Oh, and we don't ever shop at Target because we have traditional family values, will never need one of their tuck bathing suits, and don't tolerate men using women's restrooms.

    • @lorigoetz4078

So with your traditional values and you have an adult child with disabilities, non-verbal, and it is not safe for him to go into the men’s restroom by himself, what’s your answer? I face this situation every time I take my son with me. Is he never allowed to go to a store? People and I’ll say it- like you- have no understanding of what it is like. Just going to the store can become problematic. Are you going to pay for aide everytime you have to stop to get groceries? My traditional value is, I keep my son with me. Another traditional value I gre up with- you should think twice before you look down on everyone else and treat everyone the way you wish to be treated

@@lorigoetz4078 Do the greatest good for the greatest number of people. We need to protect our women from men when they are at their most vulnerable. Your unique situation is an outlier and I'm sure you're doing whatever is best for you and your son but again, does it mean that women and girls should just accept that your or your son's needs/desires trump their own? No, they should not accept that. Their rights don't disappear the moment you both enter the store. Try having compassion for the public in general instead of making it all about you and yours.

@@lorigoetz4078well your circumstance is not the same as an adult male with no disabilities going into the women’s restroom and being a pervert. And if you don’t believe that happened in Walmart where I work. Walmart doesn’t announce it but they allow men in women’s restrooms One came into my Walmart and was videoing women under the stall walls.

I live in Ohio and I shop Kroger's every week . . . in the west it's Fry's (there may be Fry's in western part of Texas) I shopped Fry's when I lived in Arizona!! Same company!. Walmart is not a "grocery store" -- it is a large super store with a grocery in it -- Kroger is a grocery store and they add a bit of clothing which is not consistent but fun to see what they have! The quality of meat actually in my opinion is better than Walmart!!
Ha at Costco you can eat an entire meal just on samples! LOL

Kolaches are Czech. Huge Czech and German influence in Texas from settlers in Central Texas and from Houston to the Hill Country. Look it up - so much to see and learn! Great food and festivals.

Love Kolaches, both the actual Czech version and the Texas version from donut shops 😂 Also, fun fact, they're practically non-existant outside of Texas. Lived in Arizona for about 8 years and could never find them. Also the "mexican" food in Arizona and California are trash compared to Texas I can say that with first hand experience and will die on that hill.

In the Pacific Northwest we have Fred Meyer, also owned by Kroger. The food is great and ours are super stores so they carry clothes, shoes, furniture, household and a huge garden center. Plus if you get a membership card you get fuel points and even if you haven’t accumulated many points, the gas is always less expensive than branded gas stations.

I just wanted to let y’all to know that Kroger is a largest grocery store in the world meaning That they owned a lot of other stores that doesn’t have their Kroger name on it, as well as their own Kroger stores. They sell more groceries and all of their stores. Combine them Walmart. I’m originally from North Carolina but I live in Tennessee now the prices I see in them Kroger stores are outrageously expensive. That grill you looked at. You can get here for a lot cheaper than vacuumed. You looked at what you call Hoover are a lot cheaper here in our Costco. Maybe Texas isn’t where you should’ve move to if you get a chance take a trip to Tennessee on my favorite state North Carolina and North Carolina we got mountains, Piedmont, or what you would call flatlands and the ocean I think it’s the most beautiful state, but that’s just my opinion and I know everybody else’s opinion will be different. Glad to hear y’all are liking the United States. Be safe God bless one big love.

Walmart is a department store that has food. Korger is a grocery store that has clothes. Sort of the same, but not. Costco is a warehouse store. A whole different animal. You go to Costco if you have vast amounts of space to store "stuff." Walmart is next down the line for buying in bulk. Kroger is running to the store to get something fresh to eat tonight.

There is one in Plano TX that has clothes but it only has tshirts/ sweatshirts for the local high school colors.

So does everyone go through that. Who has ever thought growing up, am I going to be str8 or gay. So you think we would choose to live like this. No kids. Being disownes And the hatred we receive. Because of people not knowing or wanting to understand . You only know what you're taught. Teach yourself and have a conversation. Ask questions.

Caught your remarks, Mikey, about LGBTQ issues and Target. Only someone who seems so ignorant about civil rights would let that comment slide, and peg themselves as a homophobe. Don’t worry Mikey, I understand who your comments were aimed at. The LGBT mafia cult that is trying to shove rainbows and sprinkles at every turn in our lives especially in our elementary schools, middle schools and high schools targeting kids. The LGBT mafia and cult following is giving individual gays a bad name. His comments had nothing to do with you Bruce as an individual. unless you’re OK with the sexualization and targeting of children. Open your eyes and stop believing you must associate with the small but loud LGBT mafia cult because that group is actually targeting and trying to sexualize kids. Many gay and lesbians were also a part of that boycott of Target.

Stores "only have own brands". Costco's "own brand", Kirkland, is often superior to national brands. Don't dis them until you compare with other options.
If you hold it against Target forever that they once had an LGBTQ product display you will be depriving yourself of a solid shopping venue. They are not politically active that I've ever heard of. They just were trying to sell merchandise which is their business.
I noticed you seemed to think things at Costco were expensive. Costco is a very strange place because it caters to upper income shoppers with high quality merchandise at bargain prices. So you won't find there the low end stuff at low prices you find at Walmart but high end stuff for only a bit more (if at all more). I noticed the stack of Dyson "Hoovers" (that made me laugh because both are competing brand names here). Dyson is a high quality brand and I'm not even sure Walmart sells them but that's an example. Those electric toothbrushes you looked at probably had all the bells and whistles (timers etc). To really take advantage of Costco, you do need some storage space at home but things like laundry detergent and tooth paste don't go bad and you can save plenty buying a Costco quantity--you'll use it eventually. Meanwhile, check out the parking lot. At every Costco I've visited, cars like Mercedes and BMW are over-represented and, in Texas, probably top-of-the-line pickups. You can even buy gold bars, genuine diamond jewelry and luxury Swiss watches there. Try that at Walmart.
