Having shot the Harman Phoenix film, be careful around Flourescent lighting, Phoenix is most sensitive to 555nm (that neon yellow-green of hi vis jackets) which is what flourescent lamps pump out mostly, thus leading to it rendering flourescent lit environments in near monochromatic greens, though I do love the colour of the halations when its under control.

I shot indoors at 100 with my first roll and didn't have any weird green shifts.

I'm interested in the FUGU. Can't wait for them to fix the branding and get it out.

Great video, fantastic news! Days ago I checked some videos from other RUclipsrs, who tested the new Harmon 200 color film. Well, the quality does not seem to be very good. The grain is significantly high and the colors are often washed out, while the sky is often burned out. Besides of this, B&H offers that film with only 36 exposures at $13.99. That is the price of an Ektar 100! However, I definitely will get some films and shoot them myself. Firstly, I want to make my own experiences. And secondly, just to support Harmon's try to bring new films on the market.

I like the idea to trying the new Lomography films. I will try the Lomo Purple pretty soon. I love the colors. Did you know that Lomography also gets some of their film material from Kodak? In the same way like Fujifilm gets their film material from Kodak for their Fuji 200 and 400 film stock.

Really want to try that Phoenix film even though generally I tend to go for more normal-ish looking color film. I've always kinda felt jealous of people who enjoy black and white because there are more manufacturers to choose from in post-digital times than you can find for color.
Also pretty excited about more small labs experimenting with ECN-2 development-- just got a few rolls of 500T developed in the right chemistry and the results are FAR better than I ever got with Cinestill... or even getting 500T with the remjet intact developed in C-41, for that matter. So that opens up a bunch of cine film options that would otherwise have guaranteed weird color casts.

I’m like you. I like regular looking stuff too.
Sad to report I just shot a roll of ektachrome and might be in love. It’s such a beautiful looking film. I haven’t been so satisfied with a roll of film I have shot in a long time.

@@Overexposed1 I do love slide film, but I give myself the excuse that even Velvia looks more normal than Cinestill or Lomo Purple ever could.

We need new film cameras as well. I do understand that there are great people refurbishing old items but in 2024 literally anything that is capable to shoot film is too old, unreliable and too expensive. I do believe we need just a single model to be announced and everybody will follow like it’s happening with film 👊🏻

A new camera, a good one not some junky piece of plastic, would be awesome. Nut given the amount of surplus available all over the Planet it's very unlikely that we will get one any soon, given that It will be way more expensive compared to existing devices for comparable quality. So who would buy it?
Moreover most film shooters love mechanical cameras, due to the feeling they deliver. Most of these old mechanical cameras are perfectly reliable even if 60 years old (eventually the exposimeter may be not working, but you can find plenty of choices without needing a whole new system). Even electromechanical cameras are in most cases perfectly reliable. For 90€ you get a beautiful Fujica stx-1 with a 50mm f/2.2 or f/1.9 with fully working exposimeter. If you even look for something more modern there is plenty of eos systems sold for the same price of a pizza.
A brand new camera, despite making us happy, what would deliver more than what's available for cheap now that would be worth paying the price of a modern mirror less? I think we won't see anything any soon because any camera maker would not take the risk of building something like the new Kodak super 8 camera

How many years after film expiration can you still use them with out any affect if kept in the fridge?

Hard to say precisely, but the prevailing wisdom is at least doubles its life, and maybe triples.
