It's all burning truck now for a long time. 54:30 fire truck arrives, news commentary ceased about a minute or two earlier. 56:30 it's pretty impressive how quickly the foam being used by the LAFD controls the fire.

i noticed the spike strips actually never came back out from the other side. that's why the driver's tire locked and caught fire....that spike strip was caught up in the wheel. go back and watch and you can see it get pulled into the wheel and never appear behind the truck.

With just the cab at 65 mph consistently it gets majorly higher fuel economy. Long story short if I started with a full fuel level and drove nonstop, I'd be going thru multiple states depending on my route. The upside for highway patrol is that their spikes as we've seen here will puncture a tire with nearly no problem. A semi tire could deplete its air to a detrimental level from just a single nail in a quite short amount of time.
