Jon, you always do such a fantastic job with these playthroughs. You contribute so much to the hobby and I sincerely appreciate what you do. Thank you.
Jon, your videos are a life saver, thank you, thank you. I've never backed or done a kickstarter for any game before, but I'm so intrigued by this game, really seems up my ally and as always your presentation and explanations were great. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
Always love how thorough your instructions are. Thank you again! Just won this game in an auction and thought "maybe I should have watched a tutorial on it first?" lol. glad I did
Just got my copy in the mail last night and I came right here to find this playthrough to avoid reading the entire rulebook cover to cover😆 Always a great walk through of the best games!
Game finally arrived at my door today and this was a great way to learn. I’ve read the rule book and watched a few videos prior, but this is the one that lit the lightbulb, well done! We are heading out onto the JMT in a few months so this will be a great diversion while we wait for all the stupid snow to melt.
Great playthrough and explanation of the game! Not sure yet if I'm going to back this. So many different ways to score points so it seems difficult to even have a strategy.
Yesterday my copy arrived here in Germany. So it was the second time I watched your video. Thanks again. I tryed to give you a second like - but it didn’t worked🤣
Backed it! I just hope that they come out with personal trays, organizer trays like companies are doing in collab with Gametrayz. Or even dual layer player boards to keep the backpack tokens in place etc.
I like the theming, but it seems just a little too fiddly for the strategic depth on offer to me. If the strategy were a bit more varied or the fiddliness a bit lower, I'd be more interested. Great tutorial as always, but this one's not for me!
Yeah, it looks very fiddly and, in addition, it’s a “points salad” sort of game, which I can’t stand. However, being a life-long lover of, and visitor to, the High Sierra, I am a sucker for the theme and the art in this game, so I’m backing it anyway and will try to enjoy it once it arrives.
Great job, Jon! I'm wondering, can you go hiking more than once in a turn question? I think that would be terrific. This would allow you to save up resources and then go on multiple hikes in one turn and play catch-up. 🚶♂️ ⛰️ 🔥 🏕

Thanks for the kind words :)
Ditto.

You got me Jon. Didn’t have any interest until watching your play through. I’m now a backer. Another great demo.
+1

This theme is so up my alley and the gameplay is very interesting. I'm sold
Great video. Thanks John! I just backed the game. It looks fantastic. And now I can say "I went on a hike this weekend" without having broken a sweat!
Great video! you helped me a lot understanding the game😃 Thanks
excellent guide as always!
I feel like you get games. :) Looks super fun.
Beautiful game, looks fun too.
I am so interested in this game!
Great playthrough and explanation of the game!

The backpacks look like the statue heads from Easter Island 🗿
Box art is pretty!
I backed because of this video, might not stay on the campaign, but thats just a pricing issue ($135 to Norway). Awesome playthrough

It has now beat the stretch goal for GameTrayz insert. :D
I know how someone could gain water, gain fire and gain earthy resources. But how does someone gain wind? Shouldn't the icon be of intestines?
Why does the 4th and 7th spot on the trail have an extra border?
I am not sure, sorry.
I think the 4th one is to show that we can visit the lodge. I'm not sure for the 7th ☺️

I’m not seeing the fiddliness. Seems very straight forward.
agree with you Eric, some "complexity for the sake of complexity"

Unfortunately, it's been too long since I played this game to remember the rules enough to answer your question. Sorry about that!
