    What I'd do:
    1. Ensure thermostats are working properly. If not, replace.
    2. You need at least 1/4 of fuel tank to allow for DPF regen. I'd go for more than that.
    3. Check for DPF pressure sensor DPF pipes splits.
    4. DPF and EGR are connected via software, you could look into potential problems with the EGR.
    5. If nothing helps, I'd evaluate the option of the previous owner having tried removing the DPF (DPF delete) and reprogram the ECU to disregard regen cycles. If they weren't successful, they could've put everything back together in the car but not revert the ECU programming changes.
IF this turns out to be the case, you'll need a stock ECU reprogramming.
    🍻

My Fiesta wouldn't do DPF regen, kept going into limp mode, total nuisance. Had the turbo reconditioned and the DPF deleted - end of trouble. The company doing the work told me that the DPF is the biggest problem - they never see non-DPF cars and DPF deletion is their default action. Apparently the inside of my DPF had collapsed under the weight of oil that had got past the seals in the turbo (something like that).

To be fair to the brackets they can't predict how the old ones will brake exactly so they have to assume all of it is gone. That way you can remove some if needed

Dpf off, block further end, fill with acid based tfr and water, leave for few years then pressure wash honeycomb internals, if still dark repeat, blow out with compressed air and reinstall on car. If modifying parameters doesn't help and the car isn't reading the DPF and EGR is there, either it could of been remapped or something else isn't meeting regeneration parameters. That's my two pence anyway I could be wrong.

Assuming that everything else is working, it might be the DPF has got too much ash in it and the ash doesn't burn off hence blocking it alot easier . I had the DPF light come on my SQ5, i took the DPFs off and back flushed them with just water until all the red ash came out, took it for a motorway drive and within a couple mins the light went off, thats been nearly a year and the light hasn't come back on. It is a pain in the arse taking the 2.0tdi DPFs out but luckily the SQ5 ones were under the car, however it is worth doing. I did alot of research on them and basically everything else has to be working or it wont regen. I do hope u read this as this method seems to go unnoticed and everyone just concentrates on force regen and DPF cleaners when all u need is water and a backflush. Good luck 👍🏻

I bought a 2008 b8 A5 3.0 diesel and had the exact same fault code your getting and exact same issues while forcing a regen, I even tried the same dpf cleaner as you
I was told it’s the sensor but only replace for a new one from Audi as aftermarket’s don’t work, I was also told it could be a lamba sensor as the code is just a generic code for the dpf that could mean anything, also some people had this fault code for a maf sensor which stopped the dpf regen
On my car there is a temp and pressure sensor for the dpf and they recommended changing both as either could be the issue
I know it’s not much help sorry, for me I just had the dpf + egr removed so no issues later on

      That's was brilliant advice.
Are you allowed to remind the dpf + egr removed without issues from insurance /Mot / warranty etc?

      @luke9549 Год назад +1

@@flowwesterly6136t is illegal to remove the dpf but if you gut the insides and weld it back up so no one will ever know or see but there is a risk of someone finding out
Also if the insurance check in the event of a major crash then your insurance is void
It will pass an mot fine though if mapped properly but just the risks in a major crash if they check for that
It will also void the warranty but on an older car like mine there is no warranty

It’ll be the glow plug fault. Some systems use the glow plugs to raise the initial heat.

You should of given it some properly welly high revs during that Europarts run...you want to be seeing near black soot exiting the back. Seemed like you were driving way too gentle on B roads etc.

Or, if other engine components such as EGR valves, turbochargers, injectors are fouled or not working properly.

Dean I had the same thing with the dpf re gen ... need at least half a tank of diesel or it just won't do it

Pressure sensor tubes can get blocked, especially if it’s DPF been blocked previously.

I had similar on a Crafter, i never noticed there are 3 login codes on VCDS only one is for the regen. Failing that use ODIS.

I'm assuming you have more than 1/4 tank of fuel? Some VAG cars won't regen without it.

Sometimes the DPF regen can be sensitive to engine temp - new thermostat and glow plugs + module may be needed. If you’re proper stuck, recommend reaching out to O’Rileys Auto channel (Jimmy). He’s got his own RUclips channel and always fixes DPF issues.

Yeah it’s odd as I have no other codes at all and all measures values of the DPF are within spec. It even says it’s doing it but just doesn’t work. 🤷🏼‍♂️
