I wish there was a full size option. I absolutely love the look of this bike
They have a 500sr comin in the next couple years that has this retro vibe
This design as a bigger 500cc A2 compliant version would sell well, if CFMOTO manages to establish trust and spare parts availabilty
Put 450sr engine
They already do.
Your wish is granted. It's called the 500sr voom with 4 cylinder engine
@@amirnaim3675 Nice!!! Just looked it up, sadly it does not come to europe for now :( Hope the updated version will come to Europe some day
cf 675 sr 3 cylinder😊
I didnt know this bike existed until i just sat on one at a dealership while grabbing parts. This is a freaking awesome looking bike. The nailed the looks so well. Feels like a mini sport bike. Just bought a KTM but now i think i need onr of these too. Left the dealership and searched youtube and Chase delivered.
Do you think its TOO small?. Like for a 6'0-6'1 guy?. Do you know if its even Highway Legal?. What do you think of its pulling power?
@JorgeMartinez-yu7hb I didn't drive it. Only sat on it. Yes it's 50 state street legal, but probably not freeway capable. It's not too small but the seating/peg position are definitely further back vs a Grom or similar bike where you sit much more upright with you feet more forward. Again it's like a mini sport bike in the wait you sit on it.
@@JorgeMartinez-yu7hbthey have an optional seat you can purchase for $100 the sits lower so you don’t look and feel so tall on the bike. 😉
OC. I just got the 2023 cfmoto papio and absolutely love it 🤘
I went to look at one because pictures looked cool. In person it reminded me of one of those Walmart bicycles with plastic panels to look like a motorcycle. I like some things about it but it’s no grom.
OC: Im 6'1" and I was pretty comfortable on it when I took it for a test ride for my video.
The shift light will also help someone learning to ride if they've never driven/ridden a non-automatic vehicle.
The aftermarket and available stock options from CFMOTO really makes me want to see what aftermarket MFG could do to take advsntage of it.
OC: I'd definitely recommend a mini bike to anyone into a lil hooligan fun and wants to wheelie anywhere and everywhere. Honestly you can't go wrong with the Grom or Papio.
Monkey too. It is more solid.
Any oil pump mod required to do wheelie for the papio.. been trying to find info before i buy it.
I’m getting a grom this weekend! Minimotos seem so fun. Can’t wait to start this project by adding mods. Already have a Ninja but want a toy to bop around town with.
LoL I was just rewatching the papio ss first ride yesterday 😂 nice how it all lines up
I bought my mini moto to see if I will be able to ride again. I was in a serious motorcycle accident 4 years ago. I’m just getting back to my normal routine. So far so good. I’m loving it. (RPS Condor150)
Pumped to see this review. I would love to see how it holds up on a longer therm the hour I sent with the one i test rode was amazing
Cool little bike. I was checking out a bike shop today and was like what is that ?? Reminds me of a little late 80's GSXR shrunk down with no lower fairing. I loved the little Yamaha YSR 50's back in the day... This is probably better. I was hoping it was larger than a 125 but cool all the same. I am thinking on getting one
For a guy in his late 30's looking to learn to ride, this bike keeps coming up for me. I REALLY cannot get over how cool it looks, even as a minimoto. Would be perfect for my city commute (instead of my gas pig Tundra)
OC. Already have two mini motos, a 2022 Honda Navi and a 2023 Honda Grom. I REALLY like the looks of the Papio SS to the point that I’m really debating selling it and buying one.
It does look awesome.
Honestly looks so beautiful
That is a gorgeous bike. If i could find that front end for a grom...
It’s the papio so for me, it looks so good
im 6'2"/3" and i got one i love it had to push the shift light up to 7300/7500 rpm
I have been considering getting this model for a while now and I think I'm sold now. I have been riding bikes for years but my parents refuse to let me get anything big even at 18y/o, we also have lots of curves where I live so I think this would be perfect for hitting those curves :)
OC: When it comes to mini-bikes, I will most likely go for the Papio-CL (The Mini Supermoto one), or a 2023 Papio depending on availability. I love the GROM as well, but something about the Papio just stands out to me more, especially the CL.
OC: Definitely a Papio SS. Excellent post-1st review btw.
That poor bike hauling Magilla Gorilla
Cold blooded
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Great video. Whats your thoughts on the gearing? Picked up a grom recently, as a 230ish lb guy i barely use 4th as it cant keep my ass moving. Do you find the extra gears on the Papio make any difference? - Cheers
I bought a Z125 for my son to learn the basics. He is doing great but did fall bending the handlebars. Do you think those clip-one will fit the Z125? I love the look.
Just heard about these bikes earlier today, very nice looking! Do these suffer from stealership markup like the Grom, etc do?
You’d have a blast doing a downhill canyon run with it. Maybe ride down Pikes Peak toll road. Full size bikes you can’t bomb downhill canyons without getting into felony territory.
I really can't wait to cfmoto come with the 500.
OC, I'm looking at a mini moto as my first bike while I'm in college and then upgrade to an MT-07 or something similar in the future. Due to the high demand of the grom it tends to be more expensive and I really don't care if its a honda. So, I'd probably get something like the Z125 Pro or the Papio SS/CL
If I get mini moto it be papio ss it got that old school Cafe racer look, fit in my toyhauler for them bike rally
Im still on the fence. I like the looks of papio SS and CL but the only reason i have been hesitant is that the grom has legendary durability, best fuel economy, and soooo many after market parts. Im a mechanic, if i knew i could get replacement parts and after market parts for one of these id go with it in a second.
My ‘23 Papio gets 75+MPG with an exhaust and MSC tune. It’ll hit 70MPH flat ground.
Chase what about a review on the 2024 Kawasaki Z900?
They need to make the maxi-mini 252cc twin 😁
im lookin in to one and found there is a Japanese racing modal the papil xo 1 you can get the xo1 ecu witch is apparently unrestricted and one that add 25% power
OC I really like the look of the ss alot. But I don't think I would like the body position that much. But I do want a 3rd motorcycle to be a mini moto. I have thought about getting the honda adv 150 instead. It's more practical for traffic and city riding and has alot of built in storage.
OC - I have a 3rd gen Grom right now, but I'm seriously considering trading. Hopefully I'll be able to find one locally to at least test-ride.
I’m in this same boat honestly LOL
Guys they are releasing a big bike version of this called the 500SR VOOM, look it up, it's fuckin amazing I'm saving up for when that drops and I'm buying it day 1!!!
If they had the aftermarket of a grom. I would consider.
11:00 you probably will want to do a 190 or 212cc swap on that thing.
Just you pegging it more than 5-10% of the time, means you need more power.
14:20 you should be able to increase the rear shock height
What does a "swap" like that entail? Complete engine swap or cylinder bore or what? Expense...
have you noticed rattley sound from the engine at a bit over 6000 rpm? should i change my oil early? mine just touched 160ish km on the odo.
Can you please review the suzuki katana 20 or 23 please?
I want this bike with a taller handlebar, going to be more comfortable and more exciting to ride.
the looks are great it reminds me of a old school enduro
I’m waiting for the Papio ADV!(Wishful)
Have you seen the CL?
The papio CL is basically that
OC...
Is it the lack of power that makes it more difficult to wheelie, because it seems to be the body positioning would be similar to a sport bike and people wheelie those all the time... but, again, could be power related in addition to body position.
I'm 6'2". I haven't tested this new body style, but I had on the previous body style Papio. My hand will hit my knee when turning. It was pretty bad.
Obviously these aren't for you. Us short kings are chilling 😎
do they make a larger version?
77 mpg?! My 22 Grom with a slip on gets well over 100mpg. On the 1.6G tank, I can cruse PCH and the Malibu hills all day. 150+ miles to a tank. I do like the look of the Papio though
im newbie in bikes, is it possible to change the wheels a lil bigger?
is this still manageable with a pillion ride?
i want to see passenger on this bike... can it have an OBR
can it handle 2 persons
Need a Papio Adv, with top box and panniers.
Lol. You could fit more luggage on a bicycle
The monkey is the best looking finished mini moto…what killed it me is the gas mileage ….u can get twice the mileage from Honda….just for a little more can get a speed 400
Neat
Oc - Buying a Monkey 22+ this year.
It would look sick if it had a high front fender
Papio CL model does
It's really nice to see more efforts put into the mini moto scene! But sadly I just don't think this competes with the Grom.
Your notes on MPG are bad. So if you are wanting to fill up it's 1.9 gallon tank after 77 miles that's telling me this thing must only be getting 50-60 mpg? That's kinda terrible. Literally half what a Grom gets?
I do have to admit the styling on the Papio SS and CL are pretty good, cooler than the Grom from some angles. Also I like that the Papio is a 6 speed, hard to have too many gears, lol. But the fit and finish and switchgear isn't up to the level of the Grom. It's also 10% heavier than a Grom. And of course can't touch the Grom's reputation and aftermarket. Then there is the hidden factor of better resale value on the Grom, so the price difference is kind of a non-issue.
How much did it increase your testosterone levels?
Through the roof
Would this work for leisurely hill rides?
13:15 it’s an SS needs GP shift! 😂👌
how about maintenance?
I wish the XSR900 GP had those dual headlamps. Chef's kiss.
Can the chase and yummi series come back please
I tried one at a dealership. Its nice in person but the clutch is stiff. I have an injury on my left hand and I was hoping the clutch was going to be softer. So I had to pass on it.
I have a question so I just bought this bike and they say don’t ride it hard in the break in process. On the back roads I 50 mph and less in 5th gear. Is that riding it hard ???
You are definitely not following recommendation for running in.
Cf moto says keep it under 4,000rpm, which in 6th gear is about 30mph. Don’t open too much throttle to accelerate either. Give it a good 600 miles to get the engine gently run in. Or don’t cry later when you’ve lost compression and are burning a quart of oil every 500 miles 😅
That thing gets 77 miles to tank? My big bore grom gets 100 miles to a gallon
Everytime I see this bike I think, "I wish they made it in an adult size" 😹
Makes me cry that they dont sell this in europe
I’d want something with ABS
The Papio comes with ABS as standard equipment.
If i got a mini moto for a second bike id have to get the monkey, unfortunately im 6' 2" & 265lbs so id be like an elephant on a bicycle 😅
Not available in England 😠
They should of kept the xo-1 name nothing ss about it
Just get the Duke 250
But the grom gets over a 100mpg
instinctually, I misspeak all the time
Wow 2 gallons for 77 miles? That cannot be right. A 10 HP engine couldn’t burn that at wide open throttle and only cover 77 miles. You are talking at least double that range even at WOT. Really
