  • I have had the AirPods Pro 2 Since Day 1 it was released. After using them for a half marathon, lots of lifting and traveling. I want to share 3 reasons why these are not for working out.

    OK you have made some decent points..especially the waterproof its what I went with the Jaybird Vista 2..but they have only lasted 2 years with moderate to heavy use. I am not too worried about the volume or track control I use my ultra for that when working out or running. Case getting dirty..wouldn't a case cover help? I was also wondering if you have tried that aftermarket hook wing attachments to make them fit..thanks again for the review and giving me something to think about.

      With the first generation AirPods Pro, when I ran with them my sweat broke them. It’s just a shard situation. (Had for less than a month 😢) so when I found out the second gen had the same ipx rating I was like nah.

    Have you ever used Jabra? I have had the same dilemma for years because I am an iPhone user and I also wanted headphones. Unfortunately, they are not suitable for sports. That's the truth. I had a Jabra Elite 75t Active. They are great - they work flawlessly. They stay in the ears very well. Unfortunately, they have poor ANC. I'm thinking about exchanging for Jabra Elite 10. Maybe it's worth testing Jabra.

      I stopped running with AirPods Pro because that was the 2nd time one of my earbuds messed up on me during my marathon prep. Might be a combination of sweat and running in light rain but my current fav earbuds for running are the Shokz OpenFit. I have a video on that too if it helps

    How secure are these when laying down, say on a bench press or leaning forward with your head down, say when you’re doing bent over rows or something?

      You’ll be good 👍. Those are all pretty static movements. You get different size tips from xs to large if you need to switch. I use it plenty of time for kb swings, sprints on the track they hold up solid.

    I was about to buy Apple airpods pro 2 as a 2022 trophy for the amount of working out that i do. After hearing your thoughts....i chose not to buy them. I run and do gym as well and fiddling around with volume control and havingthe case look so beat up is not what i want either. Though truly....having earbuds that are seamless with apple products would be super convenient.

    If you sweat a lot like I do don’t get these trust me they will fall out. Sound is great but not for working out! I run and I can’t get two miles without catching them from falling. I use a Apple Watch volume control is no problem but it’s the sweat and bounce that makes them fall out. Best sound ever though!I love my Apple products but these suck for running!

    Ok comming from Oneplus phone. Iphone since couple of years now. Airpods pro 2 since 1 year. Look, they passed though a full 2h machine wash cycle. I have done a ultra trail and couple of 50km trail compétitions. I use them regulary for running.. No complains, no issues, working as day one 😏

  • @nthore.3472
    @nthore.3472 Год назад +3

    1. You dont need to adjust the volume when running. You can set your desired volume before you run
    2. you can use a case for your Airpods pro 2 for protection from scratches and bumps.
    3. Even the ipx8 is not recommended for swimming. They are water resistant only. They are not waterproof.
    4. Try other brands.
    Hahaha

    • @Aesthetic_Al

      I don't know If I agree but thanks for sharing. IPX 7 is good for submerging in water but like I mention you get no benefit of earbuds actually swimming. I do tech videos for fitness enthusiast here so point #1. Volume on earbuds is almost a standard on premium ones. on the weekends im running 15 + miles. no way I have it at the same level the entire 3 hours. Adaptive noise works pretty good on them tho
