I am a former Republican, an uncle of mine on my father's side, served in the United States Navy in the European theater. What makes me upset about Donald Trump, he calls us RINOs. We are not RINOs, we are real Republicans, we are not Nazis. My uncle would have rolled in his grave also.
I have always said there must be some normal decent Republicans around when others have said they are all nazis, so thank you for confirming that. I do believe there are many like you around but who simply might not be paying so much attention to politics and are therefore not getting the information they need to make an informed decision.
We might have differences in opinion about the role of government and both sides have their fringe elements that do not reflect the entire left or right, but the normal decent ones on either side are in the majority and can make things better if they work together.

TCJA was signed into law in December 2017. In 2018 and 2019, real GDP growth averaged 2.7 percent per year - compared to average growth of just 1.7 percent under the Obama Administration.
Tax revenues reached record levels. In 2017, prior to TCJA, tax revenues were $3.3 trillion. Revenues then rose to an all-time high of $4.9 trillion by 2022.
Fast forward to The Democrats’ American Rescue Plan and the so called “Inflation Reduction Act” in 2022, when they hiked taxes on businesses, changed the tax base, and handed out green tax credits with reckless abandon, tax revenues declined to $4.4 trillion in 2023.
This CBO report conflates years of low inflation and rising wages with Bidenflation, which began after the passage of the Democrats’ American Rescue Plan (ARP) in March of 2021.

I agree with everything this woman says. I too am a veteran and my husband is a combat veteran four times over, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait and Iraq. Both of our parents too were WWII combat veterans. I'm sure it would have broken their hearts but they would also have been outraged. Trump would have never been elected president in 2016 if the WWII veterans were still alive and in their prime. They could see a fake coming a mile away and Donald Trump was nothing but a coward and a fake from the beginning. They had no patience with fools and knew the meaning of self sacrifice, hard work and love and devotion for one's country. They would have laughed Donald Trump right off the stage and talked about what an idiot he was and the next day forgotten him.

I'm not an American and I don't live in US, but my beliefs split right down the middle as politically moderate - and also embarrassed of my own country's leadership, and have extended family members who are American citizens who are mostly independents and also Republicans, with a few Democrats.
But they all agree that Trump lacks everything to be a leader of a country from morals, speech patterns, humility, responsibility, accountability, respect, etc - and good to see people realizing the true nature of Trump.
