Can you make a case for why a homeowner would choose the atlas pinnacle over the malarkey highlander when the price is only $5 per SQUARE less?
The malarkey highlander is made of polymer modified "rubberized" asphalt. And it's class 3 rated.
I'm torn. Been planning to buy pinnacles until I found out the price on the Highlanders. The malarkey vistas are $20 more per square. I'm laying over existing three tabs and they say doing that nullified the impact rating as far as insurance goes, so that's why I'm thinking of saving $500 and going with the highlander. Same shingles just a little lighter weight.

I just put pinnacle shingles on my house and they laid flat and look fantastic . I am so happy now . GAFshingles did not even make it to 20 years . Roofer did such a fantastic job . New 6 inch gutters also

Thanks for the video I came across on the site, gives me thoughts on the shingles. Getting one put on soon and the roof is a Gambrel roof, very hard to find someone to do it with the pitch and the hight of the house, like 40 feet in front and 50-60 feet in the back, live on a hill. Getting Pinnacle Pristine Shingles. I'm not comfortable of them but the contractor says they are good, since I live near Pittsburgh area and get high winds, heavy rain and really getting bad storms here. I'm used of hearing and seeing Owns Corning and Gaf. Not Atlas. Again thanks for the video. I wouldn't mind if I hear something good about Atlas

More helpful if we got a review of how well this installs, pertaining to quality control of manufacturing.

How to do you like these vs. GAF or Owen Corning?

Atlas is technically considered a lower quality shingle than OC

@@josesantos1445quality, or "brand perception?". If you look into the details Atlas has a lot going for it. OC has brand recognition and the sure nail fabric strip is great but you gotta look deeper. Asphalt blend. Granule adhesion. Weight. Common bond size. Ease of installation.
I think Atlas is top, only beaten by Malarkey. All Malarkey singles are polymer modified asphalt. Even their cheapest one. The highlander

I it true that they don't have a good seal like other brands. they scored last for not bonding good.

you should change the title to INFOMERCIAL because this had NOTHING critical about installation. Thumbs down and blocked.
