When Should a Roofing Contractor Start Paying Themselves?
Просмотров 631Год назад
When do you need to pay yourself? One of the books I recommend reading in this video series is "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki and in my opinion, the greatest book written on personal finance. Mr. Kiyosaki says to "pay yourself first", but there's an advantage to delayed gratification. Let's explore this concept in detail. #roofer #roofingbusiness #roofingcontractor

Do you have a link for the snow guards that are metal? The one you are holding that is the long bar version?
critters eat the poly down here in Florida. every 4-6 years. Looking to go back to "LEAD"
What's her Instagram
Thank you.
Your thumbnails are not impressive. You should rename your company T&A Roofing.
Where’s the girl????
That's champering a drain not a sump, 2 single ply roofers who got no clue. Man I miss BUR, give me a mop or a torch any day!!
Another possibly great video unwatchable because of OBNOXIOUS BACKGROUND MUSIC!!!!
❤❤❤❤thank you a very clear video now I am educated
Roof installed two weeks ago. Tons of rain last night and deck is covered in granules
Given the proportion of labor vs materials costs, durability is very important from a cost perspective. Also, both labor and materials will likely exceed general inflation. As an example, in my area of CA, highest quality Architectural shingles are going for over $250/sq. Most of that is probably due to Covid inflation so hopefully prices will not continue on that trajectory.
Music was terrible
no trouble to tell this is a warm rain place, we don't let ourselves get wet here in Newfoundland if we can help it. great way to get hypothermia.
👍.... Great job
Why play that rubbish music it’s hard to hear you over that
Bullshit
I always see these on steep roofs. I have a 3' rise on a 12' span. Does that affect what kind of snow guards I can use?
Roofer just installed these and I was bothered by them as they looked beat up. Though it was more like the sheet metal one and solid metal pipe. Seeing how squishy it is makes sense as to why it looks the way it does.
What are the best type of snow guard where there are lot's of leaves over or around a roof that fall on the roof in the fall. I just removed a channel type( believe you would call them) because they where constantly plugging up with leaves and debris from the tree's. What would you suggest? thanks
I'm a latino and found your example hilarious 😂 Thanks for the videos!
Oddly I plan to do this exact same solution with standing seams and feather into asphalt shingles. Cabin at 10,000+ feet and the northside always has 2 foot ice dams. New asphalt roof lasted five years on the north side. Freeze\Thaw destroys it fast. Full metal solution would be best. Installing a quality metal roof is not something I would be able to do. Location makes roofer at least 2x times more expensive.
There’s a few cheap but bad shingle brands out there and unfortunately it’s the need to save money that ends up costing you more in the long run. You get what you pay for when it comes to everything in life and shingles are no exception. Either are installs so do research and make sure the company does in fact have a history of standing by their work. Everyone has issues from time to time but your local company should be willing to rectify them and remain in good standing with the community they serve. The cheaper quotes may come from newer owner operators so don’t be quick to discount them because some of the biggest high volume companies can be worse than the chuck in a truck tailgate warranty guys. Timberline if you ask me full prep and 10 year workmanship is the go to from my experience
If you get a botch job and don’t have the money to replace it buy a box of caulking and look for loose ones to reseal. So if it’s old and maybe starting to shed tabs but you don’t have the money use caulking to seal down the pieces if you find them laying around it will get you by just be sure to recheck after wind storms
Great content!
Will you please attach the flyer you use? You said you would attach it but i dont see it.
Great pictures of the Salem V.A. as a patient there it was like witnessing history watching it get new slates and copper installed.
Thank you for presenting content in a straightforward manner, without pretending you're a comedian.
This video has nothing to do with a ladder or the roof.
What are they made of vs. the other synthetic cedar, and then how does each material hold up?
You give this big spiel about how qualified you are and then give a bunch of bad advice: 1. A ridge vent covers a giant hole along the peak just like box vents which cover small holes. 2. Box vents rarely rust. They are either made out of galvanized metal or aluminum. The box vents on my roof are over 30 years old and going strong. 3. Ridge vents have the same mesh and potential for critters that box vents have, however, plastic ridge vents are more easily chewed through by animals. 4. Box vents are installed only a few feet from the highest point on the roof, making them slightly less ideal at removing heat. I would never have a ridge vent. They weaken the peak of the roof, are prone to storm damage, the plastic is prone to shrinkage which pulls the seal apart and makes them leak (they won't last as long as the rest of your roof). They also block the peak of the roof from walking and materials during maintenance. They slightly improve ventilation but create numerous other problems. I am convinced that roofers push them because they are an opportunity to make more money.
Thanks friend.
Also Pitch Factor App is very good
I can do
This guy is a genius.
Hello I am roofing estimater
I roofed for almost 5-7 yrs 30 years ago and again on and off four years ago. Tonight at 59 yrs old I lost my nerve. I couldn’t remember how to step off! But our roof is steeper than that one is!
I 2ND THAT ON PLANIMETER!!!!
I'm gonna call B.S. on the "traditional values" statement and the ONLY REASON I'm here is because I thought (nooooo he didn't) ... and yes you did #SMH
Too many mistakes to mention. This guy just cost this home owner a lot of money.
I use a pair of "bilt" motorcycle boots to install gutter. Being on n off roofs to much to wear cougar paws. . Flat sole just like vans. Light weight and protect your ankles
Thank you for the video. The music in the background is a little too loud.
Aspire to be better than this, please. Thank you for your service.
A ridge vent goes over a hole also!
What concentration of chlorine do you buy?
Guess he needs the views to pay for the obvious but implants!
Recently roofed a house using Atlas shingles. Couple years ago I roofed a house using comparable Owens Corning shingles. The Owens Corning shingles were just better quality than the Atlas. I did like the longer length of the Atlas shingles. Easier to shingle. But the Owens Corning shingles were just a little better quality.
Oh, Crap !!! I can't get used to it but maybe I shouldn't give up yet. I still need two crutches but I've only been trying for maybe an hour total. How long does it take on average to get used to them. Actually, I'm 80 years old but really good for my age.
Be very careful when using this anchor or the numerous knockoffs. This style anchor MUST be located ON TOP of a nailed or screwed clip underneath the standing seam, read page 6 of the owner's manual. What does this mean for users on existing roofs?? It means there is no way to know where the clips are located, therefore no way to properly install this device unless you know exactly where every clip is. Also, these must be torqued to 50ft/lbs, and located 4' away from any fall hazard.
Hello, can you tell me what using a 8d ring shank nail placed at a maximum of 6 inches on-center spacing for edge and field nailing means?
I skipped to the outro.
