Glad I was able to meet you and have a small conversation with you while you were going through the checkpoint. Been watching your videos for years and your such a humble cool dude! I was the officer on terminal A.
Very informative video Adam. With all your recent flights it is good you have not had to deal with any of the wackiness that has been going on in airports and on planes.
The Gateway bridges were built when we hosted Superbowl XL. I live right near there. They completely redid the flow of traffic at the intersection coming off I-94 onto Telegraph Rd to accommodate the influx of people. That had just been a typical cloverleaf before the Superbowl. If you notice the ovals in the bridge are shaped like footballs and the bridge is the Honolulu Blue of the Lions.
That blue bridge at Telegraph scares me! You have all that different direction of traffic going every which way. I remember the first time I had to get in I-94, I was freaking out!!!
@@Idolmakercat aww ... I'm sorry. To be honest, it took me a bit to get used to it too. Especially if you're in the left hand lane for thru traffic on SB Telegraph and the light turns green for the left turn lane to enter I-94. There is talk about redoing this again and taking this bridge down. I don't know if it will happen or not.
I never get tired of your flight vlogs. I always get a window seat when I fly and enjoy looking at the terrain. I have brought along binoculars sometimes. I couple of times I have flown over the Grand Canyon and that is awesome.
Welcome to MICHIGAN! I know you’ll enjoy yourself! Sure wish you’d do a meet and greet but I know it would be crazy lol Can’t wait to see all you do here. I know the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are awesome to see. I hope you do some small town driving, it’s so beautiful here. I hope you notice how much they’re cleaning up Detroit itself. Keep on being you! Love ya, @thedailywoo !❤️👍
Welcome to Michigan! Definitely get a car and travel around. There's soooo many beautiful places to see up north, I hope you make it up there. I live just outside Detroit, but originally from Petoskey. If you can get to Caseville, Ludington, Traverse City, Petoskey.... you won't be sorry. Better yet, check out the Mackinac Bridge and then head to the U.P. to Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks! Enjoy!
I'm sitting in a packed waiting area while my car is being serviced, and Adam says "in the nether regions of John Wayne, that doesn't sound right" and I bust out laughing out loud! Everybody looked at me like I was crazy! 😂
Good morning Adam. I just had to share a story after hearing you comment on whether you wondered if John Wayne liked gum and that's why it's sold at John Wayne Airport, well we live in a small town in British Columbia, Canada (on Vancouver Island) and our town is known as the "Salmon Fishing Capital of the World" so lots of celebrities have come here to go fishing over the years and when my husband was a little kid back in the 70's, John Wayne was in town for his annual fishing trip and he ran into John Wayne at a local drug store and would you believe that John Wayne actually bought my husband a pack a gum?!! Now how crazy is that?!
Welcome to my neck of the woods. I wish I knew where you were going to be so I could meet you. You are an absolute legend and my personal hero. I’m legitimately five minutes from those bridges. You crossed on the freeway. I hope I get to run into you while you’re here. Welcome to Michigan.
HEY,.. ADAM,.. THE. ATW Yeah I Really appreciate And Enjoy when you tape your flying Travels from one State to another I like seeing the difference between airports And there architecture so cool ok take care and stay safe
Nothing like Midwestern hospitality and all of the "Welcome to Michigan " greetings! I think its safe to say most of us are pretty proud of this state and what it has to offer.
They built those bridges for super bowl XL. Lots of places to visit! Check out belle isle if your downtown as well as henry ford museum in Dearborn. Lots of cool shops around. If you are still here Sunday, there's a place called screamers having a haunted car show. Always a good time. Hope you enjoy it while your here!
Metro Airport DTW is one of the nicest airports in the country. It’s about 20 years old. If you have time, or if you’re already going, the Henry Ford museum is very worth while to visit. They actually have the Lincoln limousine JFK was riding in when he was assassinated. Enjoy your visit to my home town, my husband and I miss it very much.
I love that you showed the onboard screens showing the times and flight route. I always enjoy visualizing where I am in the sky. Also, it's nice you got a meal. The best hamburger I ever had was on an Amtrak train, believe it or not!

Oh, those bridges on 94, cross Telegraph Road - allegedly, the inspiration for the longest Dire Straits song, while Knopfler and the gang were traveling along it in their tour bus. Don't know if that's true, but I like it and the song fits. Been up and down that stretch many times. Anyway, welcome (back) to Michigan. Hope you enjoy your stay. If you go to Greenfield Village, get some frozen yogurt and say hi to the turtles near the covered bridge.
Adam, when you get your rental car, you can ask what the gas price is they charge if you don't refill it yourself. It's often significantly less than the gas you will find near the airport. I've actually saved money letting the rental car company fill up the tank.
I’ve always wanted to see the Great Lakes! It’s wild how large they are and act similar to an ocean. They also look beautiful in any photos or videos I’ve seen.

Welcome to MI! Enjoy the trip and explore more than just Detroit if you get the chance.
Plus lots of small towns to wander around on when you get further north ...
I love Hubbard Lake area best ..off 23 near Alpena and Ossineke ..about an 1.5 hours on 23 from Mackinac depending on road construction
Adam, too bad you can no longer catch the Boblo Boat and head to Boblo Island! - It's a little early, but see if you can find a Cider Mill.
West Michigan is where it’s at, especially Lake Mi coastal areas
welcome to detroit. you have to check out greenfield village and the museum there. you will love it.
