"You GO cheating hottie!" I didn't expect THAT from Ann LMAO, this was such a fun scene! It was awesome seeing Akechi's genius self again with his plan to outwit Shadow Sae, the line "you need brains for that" was super funny too, I do see why this wasn't used because it feels kinda scuffed but still it's a nice scene, Akechi lifting up and hugging Mona was adorable!
Idk i feel like a scene like this helps mask the eventual truth later, he seems more genuine like he's fitting in better and just talking to everyone more, but I guess the bridge scene became his big brain moment instead

@@devegas4910I think it was more cause their other persona games were 80~100 hours, so a drastic shift to something 140~160 would’ve maybe turned off past players. Especially because they’d grown up, now having less time. Not to say royal isn’t long compared to the other games, but base game was similar in size.
I never get when people say "Akechi only faked being smart" despite the fact we see how cunning he is in Sae's palace. Not to mention the fact he probably had to always do the palace puzzles by himself as opposed to in a group like us.

There's no way to prove or disprove whether or not they were all staged. However, what I'm trying to say is that we're still shown throughout the game that he is intelligent either way.

If you want a bit of a refresher, look up the cutscene of Akechi talking to shido in his office or the cutscenes that play during his boss fight in shidos palace. Akechi himself confirms the fraud behind his cases.
this is such a fun scene!! I understand why it was cut but I still really like it! seeing akechi's ego get inflated in real time is so funny LMAO. Plus "don't. this game uses a lot of brains" and "woohoo you go cheating hottie" was the icing on the cake. 10/10 scene.
A lotta little shit in the palaces is filler but they removed stuff like will seeds being backstory and funny lil scenes like this, its kinda weird to me, maybe this and the bridge scene don't both need to exist but idk, I think if anything they shoulda had a makoto moment with sae somewhere

It's an understatement to say this scene needed more development and I completely understand why it was removed. But I do wish they had more scenes like this where Akechi gets to show off his strength and cunning. He really needed to be a more threatening rival before his betrayal.

Ignoring the part that this is majorly scripted and you don't have any real input, actually interacting with the Palace Rulers and confronting them on their own bullshit is actually an interesting idea. Pitty half the Palaces don't have you interact outside the boss battle, and the other half only have you even talking to them when they're setting up a mini-boss. P5 is a game of such wasted potential.
I really liked how shadow sae was more direct compared to other palace owners, who just lie near the end of their palaces. Something like this would've given us more time with her. Neat!

As a result, while piecing the scene back together and cleaning it up for this video, the creator probably had to assign portraits themself and picked the 3rd Semester smile for a few lines because it fits the smug delivery, as opposed to just keeping his expression neutral. And in case you're wondering, some of Akechi's 3rd Semester expressions exist on all of his outfits in the Royal files, so that's how they got it on the Prince attire.

There's a group of modders working on a P5R "complete" edition. This audio had already been found before so I bet they were working on an animation, but considering the fact the original animation has been found they'll probably just use this. I image they'll try to add in the other stuff found recently too.

If this were Akechi in place of Mika, he'd be dancing circles all over Anne's naivety, and honest demeanor without remorse, or sympathy. And why wouldn't he?
