I have a deep box from a long time ago that I"ve hung onto. My son and I did bees for several years, but mine swarmed. I did get the box with 70% full frames. My son lost his battle with cancer a year ago and haven't been able to bring myself to do anything with that honey until now. so I really want to extract it. it is on foundation frames. at one point wehad bees at my house and also at his (2 hours away). we got the spinner from his local bee club and spun that. we got multiple gallons. I know I won't have much, but it's just knowing that it's from a hobby we shared that is important. I don't have bees at this point. some made a home in a wall in my house and I met someone who will do a cutout for keeping the bees which I thought was more than fair. Perhaps next year - I'll catch a swarm. And start over. His bees at his house are doing really well. Problem is his wife never really got involved with them and she's having a hard time finding someone to help her. Another day, another mountain. but thanks for the video. I think I can do this. I have a bucket and probably have a valve from my son's days of making beer........................

I tried that. It didn't work well. I think my comb was too full of propolis. Thanks for the comment!

How many frames would you estimate can fit in that strainer? If you have to wait over night for it to drain, sounds like you would need to work in a few batches for a few days straight?

What do you use with the leftover comb? I struggle to get all the honey extracted with this manner so I’ve returned to using a press

Will the wax and honey stay separate if you just let it cool in the original pot

Is it the stuff (the solid - not liquid) that you crushed that you put in the jars and then pour honey over them? Is that the 'honeycomb'?

You're not a very nice person.
I felt that every second was useful to learning the process.
