I would love to see a "lore playtrough" from you. And after ur done with dust, also cover frost please because dude... u got that shit . I just love it :D
A blessing from the man himself
Literally just ShoddyCast wow
My favourite part of Dust is when The Survivor says
"There ain't nothin' left anymore... just dead men... the broken and lost...
And DUST."
Wait, did I missed a note or something?

loving the nostalgic style of the storyteller's series implemented in other fallout lore media, please cover more mods after this series
Funny you mention other mods, I've been hearing a lot about one called Frost... Might have to check it out ;)
god i miss the storyteller

DUST is, and remains, one of my favorite mods to exist. I loved it so much, I became a writer for the F4 equivalent, FROST, and have also lended a hand for the FROST+ mod that's currently being worked on. It's great to see the Mojave in such an opposite state from what it once was. Fighting your way through friendly towns and locations just for a scrap of food is exhilarating.
I thought naugrim was the author of FROST mod?
@@White_Tiger93 He is. I was just a writer for some of it. There's a few other people credited with writing notes and such on the Nexus page :)
I wish my brain wasnt smooth so i could play FROST lol.
Frost is a great mod though i wish it could've took place after the events of Fallout 4 rather than before it so the story could have a tragic outcome for the Sole Survivor and the consequences of their actions on the Commonwealth after nuking the Institute. Maybe a strain of the FEV could've gotten released in the process along with radiation storms from the Glowing Sea getting more and more lethal and intense and the Brotherhood would be quick to pin the blame and hunt down Nate for it similar to the NCR hunting down the Courier especially if the Minutemen ending was canon
Frost is a ton of fun
OMG please continue this series
I loved the whole OG shoddycast vibe of the video
plus DUST has such rich lore but the game is so unforgiving
so i can finally enjoy the lore without having to put in the gaming hours
Worry not my friend, there's plenty more where this one came from
IT'S HERE!!! I've been hyped about this since you announced it in your review of Dust, and my friend this certainly does not disappoint. Can't wait for more!
Thank you! I'm thrilled you like it, and hope you like the next installments even more
From what I gathered, The KIng was the closest thing Fallout Dust had to a hero, with his decision to help the people in the Strip, mostly NCR, left to die by their own government.
Ladies and gentlemen, the king has returned.
god just by the intro of this video alone this is video is going to be amazing,
spaceman scott has blessed us again with a gift from the mojave
I aim to please 😁
@@SpacemanScott earned a sub!!
I have just realised there is a major flaw in the Dust lore. What happens to all the Securitrons? If the courier used wildcard then the NCR would not have tried to annex the strip so quickly.
Its really funny to imagine the ncr trying to siege the strip with the courier, high with all the drugs know to man, backed by a securitron army.
Emphasis on TRYING.
The only answer is that this is set in the ending where the courier persues Yes Man but destroys the securitron army underneath the fort.
Still i think it's a missed opportunity to not have the Securitron-NCR war to be one of the factors that leads the NCR to being so brutal and insane. The Casualties would be high even if the securitrons were a quarter of their potential number.
I think in the cave where the courier is there's just a bunch of dead and crazed securitrons. Though I might be wrong.
Whats worst, most of the Mojave NCR conscripts, the ones at ranger stations, had no idea and were attacked from the back
When they realized all has gone to hell, they were stranded
And thats that
“Band of Hired Guns looking for a quick payday”, I am not a hired gun, this is slander and I will not stand for it.
Hey, hang on to this for me.
*Points to cross*
Wow, this is great! I'll be waiting for more DUST lore.
Good news then, there's plenty more where this came from!
Naugrim had a pretty good story in his mod; you did a great job at bringing that story to life.
10:39 the video glitching between the Courier of the present and future gave me chills colder than the Arctic.
Quickdrawed on that link SO FAST, boss. SUPER EXCITED to see it come out and hyped for the rest! 💕
Great stuff! I was always interested in both Dust and Frost (and a little on Obscurum for Fallout 3, although that one confuses me a lot), so it's great to see videos explaining these dark, but interesting, mods. Can't wait to see more in the future!
Honestly me too, I'm just thrilled I'm able to share the story of DUST with both those familiar with the mod, as well as those who might not be/don't wanna put in the hours of discovering everything
Voice like butter
Reminds me of old school WWII History Channel Documentaries.
Great thing to stumble upon today.
This is some 10/10 content my guy, can't wait for the next one
After all this time, finally I get to hear your narration about this lore. God Bless
This is so awesome! Thank you for this, the story of Fallout Dust is AMAZING. You knocked it right out of the park with this lore series

Fantastic work! I can't wait to see more!
Oh my goodness. I never comment but this is exceptional! As many, I found you through your dust video and popped into your channel to pleasantly notice have started a let's play. The intro blew me away. My god, the score, the scenery, the voice... brewed to perfection. Thank you.
For years, I have dreamed of the day that I can understand the full events of Dust in Chronological order, in the style of the Storyteller's wasteland survival guide.
That day has finally come.
Greed is what blinds even greatest individuals much less nations, when paired with fear and apathy it is a recipe for worst outcomes imaginable.
what a great start for a series, cant wait to watch the rest
I’ve been waiting for a really good Dust series. Excited for this. 2 minutes in, it’s already great.
Best thing I came across on youtube for a long time. I played the hell out of Fallout Dust and always loved the lore. Happy to see that someone is spreading the love of that mod.
Love the lore vibes man great video
WAAHH this is so cool already !!!! i’m super excited to see more
I love videos like these!
This is great. It really brings back memories of waking up to a new Shoddycast video
Ladies and gentlemen, Looks like we have finally found another storyteller
Time to bring out the good old popcorn
Thanks for the high quality work man. I love this mod. i just subscribed
You're quite the Storyteller
It's finally here! I've been eagerly awaiting this series ever since you announced it in your DUST overview, and so far it hasn't disappointed! As soon as I get more free time, I want to play DUST myself, but until then, this lore series can scratch the itch. On the topic of the actual lore though, perhaps my biggest criticism is how cartoonishly evil the NCR is. They're by no means some paragon, do-no-evil faction--the fact that ambitious dickheads like Aaron Kimball and Thomas Hildern can achieve such high positions is proof of that--but it's a pretty enormous leap to go from Bitter Springs being the worst incident in their history, to the events of DUST. It makes for an interesting setting, but at the cost of reducing the NCR to Enclave-levels of twirling mustache evil. I think I would've preferred if they leaned into the idea that NCR tried to help when they could, but always prioritized themselves and their interests first; I feel like that would've been truer to their portrayal in New Vegas, and still allowed plenty of moral grayness and dark decisions for the mod to play with. That said, I'm still chomping at the bit for more lore, so I can't be too harsh.
This was amazing, thank you! The effort it must have taken to edit is commendable in itself, but you absolutely nailed the narration and voice work.
Great first video! Looking forward to this series
Thanks! Super excited to share the rest with you
the series doesn't disappoint!
This is such a good video great work
This is why I got beef with the fucking algorhythm, why, after rewatching the shoddycast lore series like 11 times, I only get this godly shit recommended 2 months after it was uploaded? Like god damn, at least now I can binge all the relased chapters, thanks bro
You have such a nice narrating voice. I'm excited for new episodes to come out and I'm only half way done with this.
It would be cool to have a mod that takes place during The Fall.
I love this video and I wanna bring a point up that u brought up towards the end of ur dust review. For me what makes this mod more unsettling is... It's not that far fetched to happen. The ncr is corrupt and there is no doubt that they would resort to these extreme measures. Even with them experimenting with the gas from the Madre, it would definitely be something they would take a interest in very much like vault 22 I think it was.
Oooooh yeah, that's what I think is so compelling about DUST: It's that everything that's happened in the world makes sense/is foreshadowed by the base game (Tunnellers and the dust storm heading towards the Mojave, the spread of the cloud, etc.) Sure there's some stuff you'll have to make a few logical leaps to believe (as you'll see in later episodes) but most if not all of the lore makes logical sense
@@SpacemanScott I didn't even know that there are things in the base game that somewhat foreshadow what's to come so that definitely makes this way more cool imo. I can't wait for more of ur dust episodes this was really great
Amazing content azumgi, wishing you all the best in making it cause it's very gorm!
omg coming back tk this special interest tk find this series has made our month! barkk!
Oooh I am so excited! I love your voice and its so good for something like this. The formatting is so familiar and yet refreshing cause I haven't experienced a series like this in so long. I love it. Oh the ending, "But that, is a story for another day." Ahh it sent a shiver down my spine. ooh!
Holy shit dude, this was awesome to listen too. Your voice fits perfectly for a narrator voice. Hope to see more of this especially since shoddycast an’t doing the storyteller anymore. Definitely think certain mods from across the games do deserve this kind of treatment. Looking forward to seeing more from you!
Keep up the great work!!
Amazing work.
THIS IS AMAZING
I subscribed to this channel because of this video.
Great job!
Gotta say I want to kick myself for forgetting this was being made. Really loving the style! Looking forward to more in the future
I just discovered you an hour ago after watching your DUST review, I know you deserve another sub. You're pretty cool dude.
This is so intense. Love it
This is awesome!!!!!!! Love lore and no one does any on dust ... And dust is such a great alternative or eventual destruction take on the game after the new Vegas ends ... Appreciate u covering this
Holy shit dude this is really good!!!
THIS IS GREAT
Glad to see Dust getting so much attention lately
This was giving me major story teller video from the first second of this video, but that last line woke me up.
You even ended with the iconic “that’s a story for another day” I thank you sincerely for this.
This is awesome
Great video!
Finaly! Someone is making lore video about dust mod. Personaly I find the dust lore interesting. Thank you for making this.
I was expecting someone that sounds like that one kid from the poler express but damn your voice is as smooth a melted butter damn
Love it
If this isn’t a proper shoddycast style successor idk what is, the camera angles the music choices, the editing and voice is just 👨🏽🍳🤌🏾
Amazing video! Thank you for this :) Found you because Redawt posted this in the FROST/DUST Discord haha!
Very good, subbed for more
God *DAMN* that intro
I love it
I need more episodes of this my dude 😎
YASSSSS DUST LORE THANK YOU!!!!!!!
MORE GREAT TIMING TOO
I. Love. Your. Narration.
A little late to the party but hell yeah! I’m so excited to see where this goes
What an awsome video, thank you for uploading!
I cant see the NCR sieging the strip tho, maybe the mailman was out of drugs?
Most impressive.
This is gonna be sweet!
I don't know why that shot of the Kings Member decking that NCR soldier at 7:38 is so epically funny to me
YOOOOO THIS IS REALLY GOOD, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Dust is canon as far as I am concerned, and if you don't play it you're a fuckin COWARD
@@punisheddrivernephi1237 Dust represents a hypothetical worst-case scenario, if it was actually canon that would be the lamest shit ever because it would render everything you did in the base game completely pointless
@@nagger8216 how tho? is inadvertantly destroying the largest monuent to greed (vegas) in the wastes pointless?whiping out the legion? crippeling the bear?pointless? you could use the same logic with lonesome road, the existance of the tunnelers makes the story of nv pointless with that logic, the secret elijah ending makes it pretty fuckin pointless too, dust is the canon sequel and you are too scared to admit it
there are far worse things that couldve happened to the mojave, look at zion
@@punisheddrivernephi1237 Uuuh.. how? Maybe if you went out of your way to make all the worst choices possible, because that's all Dust is, a worst-case scenario. The amount of ways to prevent the events from Dust from occurring are so piss easy you'd have to try to make a playthrough to follow that canon. Dust goes out of its way to establish the NCR as nothing other than evil, which is a far cry from how they're actually depicted in New Vegas, to make the events in Dust work. It doesn't happen at all without its OC NCR scientists either, who don't exist in the actual canon. If you like that everything you did in the base game ends up being pointless because everyone dies then that's great, but that's not what the developers of New Vegas intended at all unless you went out of your way to make that happen
Therapy?
No.
FALLOUT LORE?
YES
Best kind of therapy?
Definately yes
I'm a bit late. But I have been subbed and waiting for this since your original Dust Video
Starting the series just now, I think I'm gonna do my own playthrough in parallel
It's nice to know the Storyteller spirit is alive and well.
This feels like I've just started an official DUST dlc, and Ive sat back with my PS3 controller in my hand, listening to the dlc opening
Great series Scott. This was something special. I watched all 10 episodes, but this one episode already illustrates my issues with Dust Lore.
I love the mod and the atmosphere it brings to the game. Played it to death. Did all the escapes. All before your lore series.
But I can't ignore the fact that most of the story only makes sense if the NCR suddenly becoming Gestapo in a heart beat. Human experimentation, chemical warfare and several other warcrimes against the rebels, shooting everything on sight... Its just so cartoonishly evil that it manages to surpass even the legion. Constitutional Laws, Moral codes, Moral science. All of these things wiped out of the minds of every ncr citizen/military that forcefully occupy the mojave
I feel like the decent of evilness of the faction is too forced. Without it, the mojave would still be mostly fine, with some areas being populated and pushing back the tunnelers, even if you cant really do anything about the Divide winds.. The Strip could still be working and liveable.
Elijah's plan for the cloud only really work if the NCR is just as terribly greedy and irresponsible and uncaring for human life as him.
The mod lore tries to portray the NCR in the mojave under more pressure than ever, with the winds, the tunnelers and the legion remnants tribes(that somehow become an even greater threat than a united and cohesive legion) constantly attacking their positions and roads.
I get that guerilla warfare is a thing, but none of these tribes seem to be working towards the same goal. There is no cause. No direction. They would kill each other as much as the NCR if necessary for survival. Even the lore you find in Nipton points to this.
I still appreciate the mod and the story it built. Its my favorite mod for FNV, but once you play it so much, you begin to see the inconsistencies in the story.
FINALLY! Ive been waiting for someone to do lore videos on this mod. You're amazing!
