FDNY Firefighter Stands up to Anti-Asian Racist at Car Crash | Manhattan NYC 11.11.20

- 11.11.20 | by Adam | KIPS BAY, Manhattan - An FDNY firefighter confronted an anti-Asian racist. It happened around 12:20 am Wednesday at East 29th St & 1st Ave. That is where a two vehicle crash injured two drivers in two vehicles. One of the drivers was an Asian male. One young male was seen hurling racist insults and laughing at the Asian man while he was injured in the vehicle. His friend that was with him appeared to be filming. When both these individuals tried to get close to the other victim, a firefighter stepped in holding a Halligan tool and stated "Somebody is hurt. Show some courtesy and respect" NYPD officers also stepped in and directed them to the sidewalk. Both drivers were transported in stable condition to an area hospital. The intersection also has a men's shelter and a foster home service which is known for chronic issues with teenagers.

If I was in charge of a company he tried to get a job at, I’d tell him that I was hiring him, I would pretend that I was super excited, offer him a 6 figure salary, 6 week paid vacations, stock options, insurance, the whole shabang. Dealt with this kid for 2+ yrs, tried being a positive influence on him when ever he came into my job, but time after time after time he always reverted back to this. Lost count of the times he's been in the back of a police car or ambulance cause he is off his meds. He's been kicked out of almost every store and movie theatre in our neighborhood in Bklyn. Sad that now the world is getting to see this lost kid (16yrs old) and his antics certain things you can't come back from.
Freedom of speech applies for just about everything. But freedom for an employer to not hire you because they recognize your face from this video also exists.

As a fireman myself the amount of restraint that member of New York’s Bravest showed was incredible. If that was me I’d have probably said things that would have costed me my job. That fireman had every reason to put that bozo in his place but he left it to the cops, since that’s their job anyway and he still had a job to do.

1. disseminates material (section 11 (3)) or makes it available to the public, or offers, supplies or makes available to a person under 18 years of age material (section 11 (3)) which
a) incites hatred against one of the groups referred to in subsection (1) no. 1, sections of the population or individuals on account of their belonging to one of the groups referred to in subsection (1) no. 1, or sections of the population,
b) calls for violent or arbitrary measures against one of the persons or bodies of persons referred to in letter (a) or
c) attacks the human dignity of one of the persons or bodies of persons referred to in letter (a) by insulting, maliciously maligning or defaming them,
2. makes content referred to in no. 1 (a) to (c) available to a person under 18 years of age or to the public through broadcasting or telemedia services or
3. produces, purchases, supplies, stocks, offers, advertises or undertakes to import or export material (section 11 (3)) of such content referred to in no. 1 (a) to (c) in order to use it or parts obtained from it within the meaning of no. 1 or 2 or to facilitate such use by another
incurs a penalty of imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or a fine.
(3) Whoever publicly or in a meeting approves of, denies or downplays an act committed under the rule of National Socialism of the kind indicated in section 6 (1) of the Code of Crimes against International Law in a manner which is suitable for causing a disturbance of the public peace incurs a penalty of imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or a fine.
(4) Whoever publicly or in a meeting disturbs the public peace in a manner which violates the dignity of the victims by approving of, glorifying or justifying National Socialist tyranny and arbitrary rule incurs a penalty of imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or a fine.
(5) Subsection (2) no. 1 and no. 3 also applies to material (section 11 (3)) of such content referred to in subsections (3) and (4). Whoever makes content referred to in subsections (3) and (4) available to a person under 18 years of age or available to the public through broadcasting or telemedia services incurs the same penalty specified in subsection (2) no. 2.
(6) In the cases under subsection (2) nos. 1 and 2, also in conjunction with subsection (5), the attempt is punishable.
(7) In the cases under subsection (2), also in conjunction with subsection (5), and in the cases under subsections (3) and (4), section 86 (3) applies accordingly.

Dealt with this kid for 2+ yrs, tried being a positive influence on him when ever he came into my job, but time after time after time he always reverted back to this. Lost count of the times he's been in the back of a police car or ambulance cause he is off his meds. He's been kicked out of almost every store and movie theatre in our neighborhood in Bklyn. Sad that now the world is getting to see this lost kid (16yrs old) and his antics certain things you can't come back from.
You know him? You must have the patience of a saint. Where are his parents because at 16, he's a minor and they can have him picked up for psych treatment?

@@gerardinecizmar I gave up bout a year ago trying to be a good influence on him, hes just to broken. Hes been in and out of treatment. Parents are separated, I see him all the time I just don't acknowledge him, he's burnt to many bridges. Mom and Dad have got their own issues from what I've gathered. Him acting like this is 2000% for the attention he doesn't get.
@@johnlanza1526 Well you tried. These cases can be hard. The parents should be ashamed of themselves. I know because my daughter is Bipolar. Diagnosed as a teenager. When she first got sick, I went easy on her. Then after multiple hospitalizations, I became a drill sergeant. I was right beside her at night and in the morning to make sure she took her meds. I made sure she went to therapy. One morning I actually flipped her mattress off the bed because she said she was too tired to go to therapy. Single mother too with no help. Now she's 32 and if you didn't know she was Bipolar, you'd never think it. Sadly, I know of other people with 2 parents at home and their adult kids are still ill. One, in particular, is a really nice young man but the parents are toxic. It breaks my heart. He got the double whammy because he has Type 1 Diabetes and Schizophrenia. He just went back to the psych ER 2 days ago.
