I wonder when the day will come that you stop recommending mods that aren’t properly navmeshed and don’t break the game due to unnecessary heavy scripts
Fallout NV is the civ v of rpg games. Despite the subsequent games desperately trying to be more popular, and the company that makes them begging players to play the new game instead, its just too good to die. Part art style. Part tone. Part lighting in a bottle... both with really strong modding communities.
In Fallout 2, which is probably the most RPG of all the franchise (more roleplay possibilities than any game in the series), you could wear the best power armor in the game at level 1, assuming you could get to Navarro by slowly travelling the world map, and wield any weapon at any time. In xre cars they actually conform to the terrain like in this they're just very bouncy and unlike in this when you exit the car it actually stays at the angle it was when you exited it, I could be wrong but I think it even rolls down the hill if you're on a hill. However with xre cars you cannot set the controls to your default movement controls because you cannot set any controls to ones already in use. Basically xre is more realistic especially with how difficult it is to drive on the destroyed roads. A good comparison would be xre is like Euro truck simulator while this is more like mad Max especially when it comes to speed.
I love how one Khan flipped off the Khan that was flipping you off. Like a kid who learned their first swear, they just run around saying it to everyone lmfao. Come to think of it, the NPCs don't even wave if I'm not mistaken, so its more like them learning body language for the first time lmfao
one of the devs for the game explained why you were only allowed 1 humanoid companion and 1 other companion [rex or ede]. they said they the companions in large nubers could make the game to easy, and im sure it would be a pain for the game to keep track of so many at one time
@@Mutant_Mods that is valid but i think it trivialize most of the game of you could bring along more companions, not to mention how tight some spaces are in the game
2 things. 1. There should be an in-game balance where the more companions you have, there are changes in game. The FromSoft games do this whenever you summon co-op help, so a similar feature the moe companions you have could be possible. 2. Even if point 1 was impossible, just let us have our fun. If it makes the game too easy so what? Many of us love to run around with our own personal posse. So just let us.. the more power to the players, the better.
If a mod like Weapon Requirements Matter was part of the base game, this video would be reviewing a mod that removed that limitation and saying how nonsense it is that you can't shoot a gun because you're not already a good marksman. Vanilla is a good system, you can use any gun regardless of skill but you won't do much damage as a novice. Too many mods fix what isn't broken.
The thing is... i cant remember which of the nvse plugins it is, but something along the lines of being called "tweaks" already as the weapon requirements as a setting, you can also disable the pipboy during combat or if you are detected with it, and a load of other cool stuff.
Personally I prefer using the mods Immersive Recoil 2.0 and More Realistic Aiming to enforce weapon requirements. With these mods, not meeting the weapon requirements will make hitting your target exceptionally difficult without making the gun literally unusable like Weapon Requirements Matter, and things are still more manageable than the Weapon Requirements System. Plus, these mods are fully configurable, so you can tweak things to be as forgiving or painful as you want. Bonus mods to put alongside this is Perception is Precision to tie gun accuracy to your Perception stat, Jamming Fix And Optional Tweaks to make weapon durability more of a concern, and the mods Consistent Spread - Firearms Accuracy and Wobble Fix and Dynamic Weapon Spread which both of course improve weapon spread.
I like the mods however the weapons requirements from my point of view is skills should reflect on how good you can handle something not if you can use something. For example i can use a gun even if I don't know anything about it, I would use it incorrectly or dangerous. Anyway good video
