I actually really like this release and bought a back up. Blinded against my single barrel taylor and held up so well. Almost more straight up the middle with brown sugar oak notes rather than fruit like the taylor. I feel good about a backup anyway.
Lost me at super fruity… Penelope is largely a swing and a miss for me considering the price point. Not bad, but not my preferred flavor profile at all.
Appreciate you guys but agree to disagree on the Penelope 9 year. Feels thin and very uninspired. For $80 their are so many better options. On the other hand the 10 year single barrel brings much more to the table and is more of a buy at $95.

Found one at a small-town liquor store yesterday, one left for 91.99. I grabbed it.
Waiting for your review of the Penelope 10 year single barrel

I love this bottle however it’s $85 where I live and feel it should be more in the $70 range
Why do you always put the bottle a crack to where it's always sitting unlevel.
