The distance between the Dimash and microphone in the last part is astonishing, it is around 2 feet and still we can hear his voice.

Adagio is a good song, he did this version before he got a good grasp on english. If you think this is a long note hold, theres longer ones coming. Cant wait to see your reaction.

All that aside , Dimash as a vocalist has no equal , Lara has a beautiful voice and stage presence but she is a pop singer just one style and very limited vocal range unlike Dimash who has an extended range ( A1 to D8 ) & mastered both classical and contemporary styles of singing . The only reason anyone would pick Lara version of Adagio over Dimash is the Pronounciation but vocally there is no comparison at all . Dimash killed her Russian songs like ( Know & Love of tired swans ) he brought them God level .
@@kolgerrard1964 Dimash has been bilingual since childhood- Russian and Kazakh. For economic, social and cultural reasons, Russian is a universal second language in most if not all of the former Soviet republics.

"The Singer" version of this song was better in my opinion. It sounded like there were technical issues that were working against Dimash and his ability to hear the tempo. I recommend listening to the other version to hear the difference, at least on your own.
michael bradley It was somewhat different. I have a hard time when he differs from The Singer version. But all his versions are amazing

Funny you mentioned Freddie Mercury, you should react to Dimash singing “The Show Must Go On.” He was amazing as usual. He truly can sing any genre he chooses.
One of my faves that doesn't get reacted to as much! His English is not as good back then as it is now, but it's still an incredible cover and he's talked about how Freddie was one of his idols.

He sings beautiful notes and improvisations in his solo concerts which are about 3 hours long. I have heard him live. He doesn't go overboard, but covers all octaves.

The problem is they give you copyright strikes from there..even though the sound was better.

@@valyatodorova5511 That's not always the case. I've seen many people's videos taken down even pausing throughout... to the point where some reactors just won't have the video clip up but will just play the audio.
@@valyatodorova5511 I've actually tried this, and spoken with other youtubers about it. It isn't reliable. I'm happy to support any copyright claim (which would enable the other copyright holder to monetize my reaction video), but risking a copyright strike isn't a good idea. Not only would I potentially have to take down the video, I also might lose my accounts good standing.

Thank you, Elizabeth, let me share some "behind the stage" information :) This is Adagio version that Dimash performer in Sochi at the closing ceremony of New Wave festiwal. I think it was in 2018, but I am not sure. Anyway, this is the same festiwal where Dimash performer Sinful Passion for the first time :) I remember (because I have been following Dimash since 2017 and his Singer performance) that we (Dears) did not like this festiwal very much and this version is not my favourite version. First of all Russian hosts who run this festiwal were unprepared. At his Sinful Passion performance they told he participated in China in The Voice - he did not, it was of course The Singer and he won. He also did not, he was runner up. They said he went to China, because he had bigger audience there, and he went, because he was invited by the producer of The Singer. At the closing ceremony, they laughed at the amount of flowers he received and they even called his fans slaves :( Also the microphon was turned off during the performance of Adagio, that's why Dimash had to put much more effort in singing this song, especially these high belts, that's why he sounded rockish here. But Dimash is a full professional, so even you did not notice that :) Of course TV station also corrected it in post production, but in fan cams of this performance it is visible. Yeah that whole guy girl thing has never been a problem. His english pronunciations have gotten so much better from the Singer. And he isn't rushing himself. That is the thing that is impressive to me, because he has to have put in an enormous amount time and energy to get this far. I heard somewhere that you know when you have really mastered the breath control issues, is when you are singing a long note or run, and when you hold the last note that you end it when you want and not that you have run out of wind. Both he and Morissette do that really well. Thank you for another great reaction.

Dimash is a genius which means, at least based on my experience with geniuses of whom I have three best friends who are same means.
They have the brain power and creativity to hold almost countless, differing even opposing perceptions of reality - suspend them so to speak - in the ether of their minds and then configure more ideas or variations on the themes they are considering, contemplating and directing their creativity towards.
Then, once once they have the for that time taken it as far as they want they can begin combining the various configurations this one, then that one - as many as they desire - moving a piece here another there and experimenting; and all of this is done basically effortlessly.
Long story short, their abilities to come up with myriad permutations and then arrive at what they then decide and desire to choose to use - results, musically and vocally in well, what is - what is - a Dimash performance!

Though I love any version of Dimash singing "Adagio," there is one that will always be my favorite---I think it's Arnau---You can tell by his turquoise-colored suit. If you can believe it, that one is considerably more passionate than this one. I'd love to see what you think. But please don't put them in competition with each other. They both are magnificent.
He has always said that Igor K. was his idol throughout his youth and then to have Igor come out if retirement just to compose for him and then to perform with him is just unbelievable.
