You know it's something special, when all of your friends are out there having fun in the real world. And you're sitting in your dark room at midnight. Letting your curiosity lead you, and shape the way you looked at this game when you first started playing it. If there's anything World of Warcraft has taught me. It's that I can never lose the sense of adventure and exploration when you first experience it in your childhood. And for that, this game holds a really special place. In my Heart :) Take care young ones, the earth mother is near.
Hellscream killed him when Cairne challenged him about his leadership of the Horde. They had a duel but Magatha Grimtotem poisoned his weapon without him knowing so Cairne was killed unfairly, and lots of bad stuff happened as a result in Thunder Bluff and Mulgore. Sad days :(
When I listen to 0:00 - 0:37 I just want to go on one of my characters, dwarf, human, elf, whatever, and make a movie about him standing on a big hill in Mulgore standing over a great grassy plain with lone flowers dotting around at sunset. He's not there for war, only to admire the beauty of a peaceful nation.
I took my level 80 Tauren back to Mulgor to do the new noobie quests, the sight of the place ruined along with the quillboar invasion and funeral damn near brought a tear to my eye with this music in the background.
I agree that to the context this music is made for, it may be a little "overkill", but the piece itself is magnificent and very epic in its essence. Beautifully done.
@LongviewGD182 If you take out the oboe along with the other woodwinds and leave the strings and percussion in the song this sounds like something that could play as a last stand for Halo, so this is very fitting.
@1994Prondy Well yes, but Magatha poisoned Garrosh's axe without him knowing, so he died from a wound that wouldnt have killed him normally I guess thats considered grimtotem action :) And they did attack most of the tauren zones after that
Cairne actually had cornered and nearly bed Garrosh when he got a lucky blow with his [poisoned] weapon. which immidiately distracted Cairne and his sences causing his downfall
@Maanhtje What do you mean it doesnt fit? Its perfect. It has an epic sorta "Last Stand ' feel to it.Its so sad yet i dunno the right word here (maybe hopefull) at the same time Fits perfectly with the death of Cairne, the innocent tauren killed, by the grimtotems, the quilboar invasions and all the other shit thats happening around. These are dark times, my friend xD
What if in another timeline, blizzard kept everything as it is in WoW but in Cataclysm they've changed all soundtracks only? That would be great. Almost all of Cataclysm soundtracks are melancholic. I think they actually showed their intent. WoWs time has finally come.
Personally I don't think it'd fit. This has a really sad, almost hopeless feel to it. For me it really fit with the ruination brought to the land by those hog creatures (can't remember what they were called).
This comment was made an year ago. I stopped playing WoW like 5 years ago anyway, but as far as I recall, Garrosh's weapon was poisoned by Magatha Grimtotem and if it wasnt for her Cairne wouldnt have died. Anyway feel free to correct me, because as I said, I no longer follow WoW
@Solcius123123 Mulgore was always crap, this music was the best thing to happen to it since WoW launch. This new music is the most interesting thing to happen to Mulgore EVER.
@DavidELD This music is not appropriated at all. I can't see myself killing a plainstrider level one with a epic music. Music was perfect, it was BACKGROUND MUSIC.
The plains of mulgore seem so vast and peaceful .. always liked questing there ! The music fits the zone completely
RIP Cairne. RIP Grandma. RIP Taurajo...
Say what you want about Cataclysm, you cannot deny the soundtrack is amazing.
can you even talk shit about wow soundtrack? always amazing
No it's not, the tracks are great. But they are missing the point.
@@Solcius123123what do you mean with missing the point i think the music is describing the zones pretty awesome 😁
Using it as a backround music while reading warcraft novels. Fits great

I don't play WoW anymore, but I can't stop listening the soundtrack!

Brought chills to me when it played at the funeral in the new questline. RIP Bovan.
Reminds me of Native American Music... I like it, It gives me reason to play one

Gorgeous piece! Simply stunning!

Beautiful, whenever I'm feeling down, this always warms my heart.
I like this music ^_^ And I do belive that the mulgore quests have gotten alot better and its much more fun now to start up
This was playing as we were heading for Thunder Bluff at night to take out Baine.. fitted the scene perfectly .. the stillness before the storm.
I wish I could find the Cata music for Thousand Needles.
That was a good soundtrack too.
Ah yeah the perfect track for leveling my pacifistic tauren monk.
@Solcius123123 you can always lower the volume, or turn it off and have the original playing from your computer.
Tauren stun that guy in front of you with your hoof and be proud to serve for the HORDE!
when you see the burning tauren bodies at very start of the tauren missions, you know this 'requiem' does fit very well.. so sad and desperate.

beautiful
Actually, MoP just left the music alone! So ur good c:
Reminds me of the first time i played wow :( Tauren warriors FTW!
@1994Prondy Well yes, but Magatha poisoned Garrosh's axe without him knowing, so he died from a wound that wouldnt have killed him normally
I guess thats considered grimtotem action :)

@pIIROnginlaatikko Same here. The soundtrack will never leave you if they keep making music like this.
Cairne actually had cornered and nearly bed Garrosh when he got a lucky blow with his [poisoned] weapon. which immidiately distracted Cairne and his sences causing his downfall
Es Bellisimo :,)
@LongviewGD182 Didn't Cairne die in the duel against Garrosh Hellscream? o.o

And the end game content

You do realise that Legion broke playerbase record in wows history, right?
