Man, I know I comment this a lot, but I really appreciate what ya do. You're one of the few "things" that gets me to literally, audibly laugh out of my hole at. "Its weird" - but got all the endings - is so gold.
this is why i bought and marathoned the friends of ringo ishikawa, and also several games in the yakuza series. never would have gotten into these games otherwise

Tim is such a painfully talented storyteller. I could listen to him talk about anything. He has a gift, and there’s nothing more I want in this life than to continually have him make videos and share these wonderful stories that make any day better. I love you, Tim.
tim im sure im telling you stuff you already know but TRUCK HECK is truly a great name, and I'm really taken by how much better of a name TRUCK HECK is compared to the obvious synonym TRUCK HELL. Part of it is how the consonance of the "CK" at the end of both TRUCK and HECK creates a good mouthfeel to say, and also that HECK is a funnier word than HELL. Although I get the feeling you have spent years crafting such a title, so this is probably all obvious surface level reading of TRUCK HECK. great video by the way.
as others have pointed out, yeah, i got a playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLsiJPoHlPqEHueUQ2QvbEyVtKSLEBGdSE be careful not to DIE in there because there's some DEADLY Content™
Dear Devolver Digital employees who will end up watching this video, thank you. But to the enlightened one who dives into the depths of the comments. Do it. Find a way to give Tim 4 million dollars so he can grace the world with Truck Heck and maybe even get him in the writers room for your next E3 event. That'd be great!
Everytime I want to call and tell Fork Parker how amazing the Serious Sam franchise is, they always say he's not available. I'm beginning to question if he actually exists at all!
i want a big loud heavy metal giant robot beefcake game where it's not clunky at all & smooth af because you're an ace pilot or something like that. then midway through the game your dude has a nervous breakdown, or dies or something, and the controls abruptly become clunky
My favorite thing about Tim Rogers video content are the always fascinating, frequently funny, occasionally poignant, not-patented-because-a-patent-doesn’t-exist-for-them Tim Rogers Interludes. This one did not disappoint. What I can say is that this game does indeed look weird, but cool. Weird cool. Smash that like button. Punch it, Chewbie.
(my review of this review): an easter egg hunt of good vibes except the good vibes are delicately placed in a soft purple basket and yielded unto you with the grace and delight of a frolicking deer
Only Metal Wolf Chaos could make less sense (and thus perfect sense in its depiction of the US) than the meandering of this video's narration. It's the perfect review.
@@jockel9502 Oh i meant that Tim Rogers' content is a gift to us, the consumer. I didn't mean that his abilities were a natural gift that he possesses innately. I agree that the quality of his work is a testament to hard work.
Dragon Quarter is one of my favorite video games. I still don't understand how underrated that game is it has everything. Time looping (as long as you have the ungimped EU version), a fairy management minigame, more pathos than you can reasonably expect to fit in the boot my 2007 subaru liberty. The main character also has goggles that I always unreasonably wanted to have even though I would never have the shonen protagonist confidence to wear them.
I feel like if I ever met Tim Rogers, I probably wouldn't like him much. That being said, I could watch one of these videos every day. I'm not sure what that means. Maybe I'm a bad person. At any rate, I think you should let Tim Rogers make more videos similar to this one, assuming he's willing to do so.
finally got my physical copy! been waiting for this since my xbox wouldn't play the sound right on my burned disc... thanks SBF RIP in peace in peace stufflords!
I feel terrible that the IRS is forever tormenting Tim by reminding him annually that he has not yet procured $4 million from Devolver Digital to produce TRUCK HECK.
YESS - the perfect game for Tim to review and talk about. "The writing was the idiotic product of hams falling on typwriters" Also, cant wait for TRUCK HECK, man. Feels like years since i first heard about it!
I was upset that Tim didn't review this - turns out the thumbnail is just missing his trademark styling! yay Tim! Wait... did something change in the matrix..?
Didn't expect to be coming out the other side of this video needing to finally finish Breath of fire Dragon Quarter but here we are. Time to step it the F up
My only real criticism of this game having played a few levels so far is that the sound design is weirdly thin, it sounds like a bunch of sound effects are just straight up missing to the point where I couldn't tell if it was a bug with the port or if it was that way originally. That and the game is locked to 30fps even on PC but that's just a small "well it's a tad disappointing" type complaint I'm not pulling a framerate police here. I just want every game to run at my monitor's 165hz refresh rate, high framerates have spoiled me.
I love this video and the only thing that could have possibly made it better is if when Tim was discussing the football cannon, the opening horn blasts of Monday Night Football played. T R U C K H E C K
I want Tim Rogers to do explainers for every inane and absurd Japanese concept, or just any explainer. Same tone and word choice, just deployed to explain tax code or the ingredients of funyuns.
I agree... For years, I have been obnoxiously, uncontrollably yelling at random people about the need for a Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter remaster! There's never been a better time to bring it back. Get on it, Devolver!
When Tim says "Story Time", you better believe I buckle the HECK up.
You reposted your comment on the reupload? heh nice

Great review btw
I wonder if the genre is saturated by Cluster Truck?

This video review literally made me smarter.

Time for a Kotaku review- STORY TIME
