It's crazy to think this was that long ago. I started watching you in late 2013 and seeing some of these old videos really took me down memory lane. I'm so proud of you. You've come so far!
I found you just as you were about to leave for College, so...pretty much when you started doing Pokémon content more. I'm currently a 36 year old woman as of this post who's watched you grow into your success. Excellent work as always, Michael! Keep being the best that no one ever was! X3
Honestly, the reactions to ORAS were incredibly wholesome. The pure joy. I can't even remember my own, but I remember I was still in high school at the time and I wouldn't stop talking about it and gushing how Sapphire was my first Pokemon game ever- It's really amazing to watch your channel evolution~ Cheers!
What a nostalgia trip. I found this channel when I was 9 or 10, and I’ll be graduating high school soon. This is the only channel out of the 60 or 70 I’ve subscribed to over the years that’s held my interest enough for me to remain subscribed. Those old videos fill me with so much pure joy because I remember back in fourth and fifth grade when I’d come home from school and do nothing but binge Pokemon content on RUclips. Thanks, Michael.
I had some thoughts with the pokeball theories. I feel like the ideal environment theory has more merit to specifically luxury balls (maybe also friend balls)--the concept that they are so comfortable it raises the Pokémon's happiness and is even called the luxury ball. Also since Pokemon are able to generally hear the trainer and escape as they wish to I doubt it's inhumane (unless it's a master ball perhaps). It's like how some animals like to go in their crates to sleep or relax because it's like a comfortable den to them, while others, like Pikachu, do not.
i remember watching all of these videos when they came out and i was just as excited as you were for the oras announcements. i have been a pokemon fan for almost my entire life, and this channel was the first one i subscribed to, i dont remember exactly when, but i know for at least 7 years.

i first found this channel like, an eon ago thru randomly stumbling across the How old is Ash & the pokeball vid lol, and then completely forgot abt it before finding Pokemon Talk abt 3+ yrs ago thnx for the great content Mikey, here's to more :)
I remember watching some of these videos when I was younger and being like “ this man is amazing!” And I still think that to this day! Your stuff has definitely improved and it’s cool to see how you’ve grown
God that is such a nostalgia trip. I've actually been around since the the Pokeball Theory, so...8 years? What a concept. I remember rewatching these early videos every so often. It's been nice to see how much your channel has grown over the years, even when I haven't been as consistent as a viewer. Way to go!
I discovered Pokémon talk Episode 1 as the first video from his channel back in 2014 and still remember how he used to have the Spateport City Remix slowly begin to creep up and then blast out at full volume after he said Gotta catch them aaaaalllll. And this channel will always be that extremely load and happy chorus of bells and Synthesizer for me that chases the clouds away. Ironic yet fitting given Michael's love for Castform and my sheer disdain for it. Simply put, Castform was the Shiny Kabuto for me. Yeah, that's how frustrating it was trying to complete my Pokedex in Sin and Ultra Sun.
Crazy to see that I started watching your vids around the 10th episode of Pokémon Talk, and I still feel that something new comes with every video you bring. Keep up the good work, Señor Groth *guitar noises*
I remember watching “How old is Ash Ketchum” back in Elementary School when it first came out, and now I’m 18 and graduating. It’s been a fun ride with you Mikey, and I hope I still have time to watch your videos whilst I go to school to become a Journeyman’s electrician!!

I have started watching your videos since 2019 and I have watched your videos before that and it is very nice to see how you changed from generation to generation.
I've only been watching you since 2020, Mikey, but even still, I consider myself a proud part of your community (and also TEAM SKY!!!) I'll be honest, 2019 to 2022 have been so far the worst years of my life, so I've needed to distract myself a lot, and your videos have helped me not only do that, but you've given me the ability to laugh even when I don't feel like it. You're one of the funniest and most passionate people I know (as a fellow Pokemon fan, that's a must to say) that I've ever seen on RUclips, and the community you've managed to build is amazing. I honestly have to thank you, Mikey, because I personally have no idea where I'd be if I hadn't found your videos and started watching them not just for personal enjoyment, but also to take a good break from the BS of life. Thank you, so much, Mikey, I'm a a Pokefan until the end! Gotta catch em all!!
I did not realize how long I've been watching you for. Since the first few episodes of Pokemon Talk. Returned to the channel only recently and it's awesome to see you're doing well!
I started watching MandJTV/Mikey's content by mid-2019 and I subbed to him the very day after my 18th birthday and I haven't look back since! He's one of my favorite PokéTubers around
Honestly, the Groth (see what I did there?) of this channel has been insane. I’ve watched since the 10th Pokémon talk episode and I love your content. Keep up the great work and tah-tah!
It's insane that his channel content was born one day after I was! And now I get to watch this video that brings me so much joy! Pokémon is for all generations!

17:04 Look at Vaporeon. Or even Orcane from Rivals of Aether, both of who’s base designs resembles real-life aquatic animals, but who’s DNAs bear strong similarity to water itself. The latter was literally inspired by the other, and BOTH can sorta shapeshift in a similar way to the Glushalsh line.
It’s been such a long time since seeing these that if I listened to one out of context I might not recognize Mikey’s voice, it’s not even like it used to be significantly higher, it’s just changed a lot
I never paid attention to the channel names, so I never realized that it was your vids that kept getting recommended to me. The "how old is Ash" one and the "What happens inside a pokeball" were constantly in my recommended when they were new and I just never watched them lol

I only started watching you in 2020, but I think I actually watched your “how old is ash Ketchum?” and “what happens inside a pokeball?” videos YEARS earlier. It’s funny how that works.
I loved seeing the fakemon you made as a kid. It reminded me of all the fakemon I made. About a year ago, I decided to update them, but I never committed to it. I would love to see updated designs for yours (if you haven't done that yet). I know that I was brainstorming how I'd do just that while looking at the designs. For example, the fire starter, I would pull some inspiration from multiple dinosaurs in the same family as the velociraptor, while also moving away from the Jurassic Park look, to a more accurate one. I actually had too ideas. The first one is, have the line depict how knowledge of Raptors has changed over the years; we now know they were likely feathered. As it evolves, it would get flames that look like feathers. My other idea is making it a bird that has velociraptor-like features. The first form could look like a baby bird (without looking too much like torchick) while the last one looks like Archeops but on fire. Something I noticed about all of them is that they all end up looking reptilian. We have only seen this happen with all the starters in gen one. Distinguishing the designs would help make them stand out from each other. Since the grass one is some type of lizard, making the fire starter have a bird-like appearance would make them look less like regional variants of each other. You say that the water starter is just sentient water, but then the evolutions begin to gain animalistic features which defeats the original idea IMO. Some might say design it to better express the original idea, but I think since the other two starters are animals, the water one should be too. But what animal would fit the design? I have two: A sea slug or a squid (octopus, cuttlefish, or some type of cephalopod) features from both could even be used. They already have a fluid form that can have tentacles. I haven't drawn pokemon in a while but if I feel like dusting off my art skills (after I'm done with my college classes for the semester) I might try my hand at working out some designs inspired by ours.
When you were talking about how your grass starter fakemon was part dragon, and why, it made me wonder what it would be like if we had a starter trio that had the same secondary types as the other. For example grass/dragon, water/dragon and fire/dragon. Actually I would really like a Fire/Dragon that has an evolutionary line and is not a mega.
Ever since early 2017 or probably older, this channel really has grown since I've first watched and I love it Also ofc I love this video too Also I wish y'all are having good day
The interesting thing about the Genwunner thing is that I've never seen an actual one on the internet. My assumption is that they were only a thing on forums and Deviantart, both of which I don't browse.

Casually admitting that you skipped the X/Y anime was a...brave choice on your part. I'm pretty open minded about each series, and even I have to consider it the best one (mostly in its final season.)

I can’t believe how far you have come congrats on 10 years of Pokémon talk btw
Ever since early 2017 or probably older, this channel really has grown since I've first watched and I love it Also ofc I love this video too
Also I wish y'all are having good day
Making glashalsh made out of pure water with ice claws is super cool
The interesting thing about the Genwunner thing is that I've never seen an actual one on the internet. My assumption is that they were only a thing on forums and Deviantart, both of which I don't browse.
One of the biggest challenge that mickey could do is to play any game like heartgold with ONLY MILTANK 😂 .If he does it one day that would be really fun
That should a 10M special.
Sorry to correct you but it's mikey
@Daniel Nasby mickey mouse lol
@@idosomethingiguess3680MandJtv plays will do that at 1M

Man do I really miss Pokemon Talk
Dear God, I've, I've watched this man grow for the past 8 years. That's honestly impressive.
Same here!
How it started and how is it now...
One of the most successful non TCG Pokétuber, Michael.
Really great to be part of your RUclips family.
As a TCG player, I can confirm that Michael's channel is much bigger than every TCG channel. PTCG Radio, for example, only recently hit 100k and he's huge within the community!
@@samuelstannard730 ok, good to know.

@@PyroManiac753 eurgh, I don't count people like that who aren't interested in the trading card GAME

I have 3 boys ages 6, 8, and 10 and they have gone through alllll of Mikey's videos. So seeing him react to videos I hear them watching all the time is awesome.
I remember when i first got on youtube as like a 12 year old? And the pokeball video had come out and thats when i discovered your channel 😭 feel very old ngl also binged the racoonman videos back in the day literally one of the only youtubers ive kinda consistently over the years
I actually watched these years ago, but I didn't realize they were yours, as I started watching you regularly more recently
Man I've been loving your videos for years ever since x and y since those were my first games. Keep up the good work.
The fact you have been uploading Pokémon the entirety of my life is crazy
You must be so young.
I’m love mozong, lizun, and Crizerd
JEEZ! Bros been doing this before I was even BORN! I respect him for doing it for this long.
How old are you ?
At the time of watching this video I am a sophomore in high school but when you were asking if anyone watching Pokemon talk a few years after being born I realized that you created your channel almost two years after I was born but I didn’t discover you until 2019 and I have watched a lot of your videos since then I find your videos very entertaining (especially your play throughs) and I gained a lot of knowledge about Pokemon just by watching you. You have inspired me to become a RUclipsr one day and I hope that we could do a collaboration once I do so I just want to thank you for being my favorite poketuber.
Casually admitting that you skipped the X/Y anime was a...brave choice on your part. I'm pretty open minded about each series, and even I have to consider it the best one (mostly in its final season.)
he should do one single raccoon man reboot
Please bring back the old Pokémon Talk in 2022! 😣😣
