The owner’s awesome home and compound is located just to the right of one of the holes. I believe thats the only residence you can actually see from the course, and its quite a sight.
The buffaloes names are Duff and Divot, but sadly one of them passed away last year (I don’t know which one).

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and my 85 year old Dad and his 70-80+ year old golf buddies make two 1 hour and 15 minute (each way) trips each summer to Ohio for golf. We play Firestone Farms (The Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana, Ohio) and Reserve Run (in Poland, Ohio). These are beautiful public courses that are incredibly inexpensive (close to $30 for seniors on weekdays for 18 and a cart). Being from Pittsburgh, I don't know the courses on your list, but Firestone Farms and Reserve Run are held in very high regard by golfers who play in and around Western Pennsylvania/Pittsburgh.

So I played Sleepy Hollow and Manakiki more times than I can count. Both are OK. But not sure I'd put either in the top 10. Maybe Sleepy Hollow. Boulder Creek is certainly my favorite of the 5 I've played.

@@Gingerstashgolf nobody believed me lol. I barely got it over. And the. Had to put it on the green from quite a bit away. At least I think that’s the hole you showed. It was on the lake 9. Which is across the street from the barn. It was so many years ago. It had to have been a lot of help with wind cause it doesn’t happen often haha.

Avoid the Maple 9. It's mediocre at best. River and Lake are clearly the featured 18 holes at Fowler's.

I totally do not understand the hype with eaglesticks. I made the hour drive to play there and was completely disappointed! Also something that was a turn off for me was that there hole distances are way off. One of the holes was listed at around 400 yards and I had less than 50 yards for my 2nd shot. The next hole was listed at 375 or something and we shot it with the range finder and it was in the low 300s…
