In my new series Know Your Folk, I explore the lives of fellow pagans from around the world who are walking the old path.
I want to share with you their stories so that we can become a larger and more diverse community. May K Hella is a writer who is working on a book centered around the viking age and the traditional pagan faith of Scandinavia.
I hope you enjoy May's story and please give her some love as she is a wonderful person and I thank her for being my first guest!
My name is Jacob and I am a norse pagan. For a long time I was not a believer in anything, however when I started researching the ways of my ancestors I felt the presence of Odin and Loki. After my experiences with these gods I can no longer go back to a life without them.
In June of 2019 Odin sat down before me and told me I needed to gather more pagans around a fire to speak of the gods, spirits, and the ancestors. This youtube is part of that goal, so please follow me here or on instagram to connect with me and our gods.
If you ever have any questions or just want to talk of the faith I am always available!

Our folk have nothing for which to feel guilt or shame. We can honor our ancestors and feel pride in our path without feeling hate against other peoples.

@Govenic hate has been on both sides and to say it is only one shows how closed your eyes are.. it's ok to call out the bullshit.
"Hateful" and "racist" is late 20th-21st century slang for "whites who don't hate their people and don't want to go extinct". It's really all that's left of those words. It's healthy to hate people who want to destroy you. But the vast majority of the time, what they call "hate" isn't anything like it, it's love, love for ourselves, our land, our kinsmen, our ancestors and our descendants to come.
I lock my door because I love those inside, not because I hate those outside.

For anyone looking for May K Hella on social media, from what Jacob replied to another comment was that she was bullied a lot and decided to delete her social media presence. I wasn’t there for it so I don’t know the specifics past that. He did say that she is doing well and enjoying time with her family.

One of the best ways to keep bad faith out of the community is to create close ties to other native/pagan cultures. If living with nature is the goal there are so many ways to do it, and the world is rich in culture. Alliances across cultural borders are both enlightening and inpiring.

Can anyone share what happened to May K Hella? All her social media accounts have vanished. She is/was such a wealth of knowledge.
Hope she’s safe and simply decided to be more private. Hate to think she was intimidated or bullied into going offline. 😖
Sadly she was bullied into going offline, I reached out a year or so ago, and she is doing fine just enjoying time with her family. I miss he and her content as well, she was one of my earliest creator friends when I started.

I would like to research may more but there are no social media accounts exist for her and even Google barley shows anything about her. Did she get put into witness protection or something?
