Tactix is overhyping Tampa, they are good but I don't see them going to the finals
Highly unlikely that both 1st seeds make it to the final... And I also think that you are overrating Tampa tbh. They have not been playing well lately and also to me Vasi is not my pick for the Vezina (simply because of his recent performances, my pick goes to Rinne). Also I think that the Preds have a far better D-core than any other team in the league. I mean Josi, Ellis, Ekholm & Subban are your top 4 and Subban and Josi both had over 50 points and were top 5 in scoring of the preds. Yes Tampa has Hedman (who might very well be winning the Norris) but I don't think that the other guys can match Nashville's top 4. And btw I'm saying that as a pens fan .
I agree. Nashville/WPG have both been playing better than Tampa down the stretch I don’t think Tampa has looked great since the trade deadline. I think the East is wide open
Washed_Out Yep and having the Preds v Jets match in the 2nd round would be insane as to me they are the 2 best teams heading into the playoffs (not saying that the winner of this match 100% wins the cup because it's playoffs and anything can happen)
Tampa has Hedman-Sergachev , & McDonagh-Stralman the Shutdown line. Then Coburn and Girardi. Or Girardi will ply with Heddy as well. They have a prettt solid top 4-5. But not as deep as Predators Defensemen. Hedman is a beast. Mac & Stralman are great Shutdown guys. And Sergachev put up 40 points and +11 for his rookie season. Playing avg 15mins a night and 2nd PP unit. Then you got Girardi who's one of the best Shot Blockers in the league and who had a Great season with Tampa this year after everyone with the rangers wrote him off as he was done. And Coburn is decent when he's on his game which he was playing rlly well the last two games of the reg season. Then they have Koekoe and Dotchin as Backups for depth. But Preds still have the better Defense.

Yes they definitely played well but I wouldn't commit too much into this win. Yes they played well, yes Murray looked like Playoff Murray last year, yes Crosby stepped up and showed why he maybe still is the best in the game but you got to admit that Philly played super bad and basically gave up after they were down 3:0. Also this win reminds me of last years Playoffs. We won against the Caps 6-2 just to lose the next game, we won 7-0 against Ottawa just to lose the next game as well. For the pens it's super important to win game 2 as well so that you go with a 2:0 advantage to Philly because if they lose game 2 then they have massive pressure to win at least 1 of the 2 games on the road. If they should go up 2-0 tho I'm expecting this series to end in 5-6 games.

As a Rangers fan, I don’t think the Devils will upset them, but if NJ does, I won’t be surprised. My prediction is Lightning in 7, I can see NJ stealing a couple of games from the Lightning however

Had only 2 series wrong so far, had Anaheim beating San Jose, and had Boston beating Tampa in the 2nd round. My prediction for the Jets beating the Capitals to win the Cup after knocking off Vegas is still looking good at the moment :)

Mitchell Tomlinson Sure Bruins have more experience but I wouldn't say the Bruins are better in every way. Leafs are just as good as Boston. It's going to be a hard fought close series.

Brian Ferris Vassy said that a couple months ago. And they have him more time off in between some games and played Domingue a bit more. And then Vassy went on to say he felt much Better. Plus he's had off now by the time first game starts he'll be off about a weeks time of rest. And he shut out Boston 4-0 making 33 saves the last week of the season. When Tampa played the full 60mins the best since Trade deadline. So they know how to Amp there game up for the Big moments like that game was to them. I'm not worried as a Tampa fan! I have faith they will go Far in post season. Too many Vererans and Elite players and Depth on this team to not go far!

I did not knew that Ducks had a better defense than the Sharks... Everyone forgets that Vlasic is one of the best defensmen in the league. Braun is a solid top 4 and Martin is a guy who can bring experience to the team. Dillon and Demelo in the 3rd line can make solid checks and make good first passes. With the Ducks, Fowler won't play because he's injured... The penalty kill has a way better pourcentage with San Jose. Finally, Jones is always at his best during the playoffs and i'm sure he can take his team to the Stanley Cup Final like two years ago.

Kids let me tell you a tale about recent Minnesota sports history dating back to 2014.
Let’s start with the Minnesota Wild. Perennial playoff team but can’t do anything in the playoffs. Start off the 2014 playoffs with beating the Avalanche in 7 games. Some positivity in Minnesota. Just to then lose to Chicago in the 2nd round. Advance to 2015 and the Wild have a good season and advance to the 2nd round to only get their asses handed to by the blackhawks. The next season requires the coach to be fired and barely squeaking into the playoffs. Don’t do anything there. In 2017 the Wild has the best season in their franchise and then run into a goalie named Jake Allen in the first round. This year they are about to get kicked by the Jets.
I still have 3 teams to go.
Vikings- Oh boy Oh boy where do I start. Teddy Bridgewater is starting to look like the franchise QB for the Vikings and taking major steps in 2014 and 2015. And then he destroys his knee. 2016 season Sam Bradford leads the Vikings to a 5-0 start then to only go 3-8 the rest of the way and miss the playoffs. In 2017 the Vikings are looking very promising with Case Keenum at QB with a 13-3 record. For once something goes right in Minnesota sports with Case Keenum and Stefon Diggs completing the Minneapolis Miracle. And then to only get smacked by Nick Foles and company in the NFC championship game.
Twins- rebuilding from 2011-2016 and show life in the 2017 season. They make the wild card game and have to march into New York who they don’t have success against in the playoffs. Twins get a 3-0 lead in the first inning and completely blow a tire and lose.
Timberwolves- haven’t made the playoffs since 04 and have to play Denver for the right to play Houston. Which if you can see the pattern here they won’t win.
Now if you have read this whole thing I salute you. You have successfully learned about how it sucks to be a Minnesota sports fan. I thank you for your time.
