Probably did. Fury gets dropped a lot in his career. Not sparked out, but dropped. From tiny guys like cunningham to MMA fighters making their debut to windmill wilder who couldn't land a glove on parker.

Well, the risk is he has to try and beat a 0-1 boxer that there is now footage to study and compose a gameplan.
The reward is 10s of millions and apparently a shot at undisputed.
No challenger in history has gotten anywhere near an undisputed shot off the back of beating a guy with a 1 fight losing record. Hrgovic, Zhang, Bakole, Parker, Sanchez. That's high risk, low reward

This group of British light-heavyweights are unfortunately in an era with two elite world champions. None of them wins a world title against Beterbiev or Bivol. They'll be hoping after the undisputed the belts become vacant, other than that they should just fight each other, do a mini tournaments. Yarde or Smith vs the winner would be a good fight whilst waiting for a title shot

I’d still favour smith styles make fights an he’s only been beat by elite yarde gave a good performance but you could argue Callum Johnson did aswell would say johnson is better than smith ? I just feel like smith has the experience an is an all round better boxer the thing with smith we can tell how good he is when he fights a yarde or someone like that because he’s either fought people he’s expected to win or the p4p who make everyone look average if he goes in there an knocks yarde out I think it will do his reputation good an also a decent name on his record

Yarde vs Smith is a good fight and one I would definitely watch. Just goes to show you, doesn't have to be a title on the line or anything just gotta be a good fight and good match making. The game has been missing that big time
I think Buatsi's extra snap and power will be the difference here. Dan is heavy handed with good handspeed but he hasn't got that fast twitch explosive punching ability of Buatsi. I see a very close fight but I see Joshua scoring a knockdown or two along the way to edge it on the cards.

Remember one thing.. when you sparring getting ready for fights, you will have multiply sparring partners coming in fresh after every 2 rounds and you stay in and spar one after the other. There is footage of Mayweather getting lit up in sparring.. because he was on his like 15 - 20th straight round and a fresh young guns keep getting brought in. Real preparation.

Callum Smith has done nothing to prove that he is currently the best at domestic level.
He was a world champion won the boxing world super series I think that proves he is compared to the others what have they won ?yeah you could argue that people he beat wasn’t the best names but he’s achieved more than the others so I think by that you have to say he’s the best in Britain until proven otherwise
@@Jordan1223_ Let’s be honest about the boxing super series, in general, it’s meant to prove who the best is in the division, it’s worked at points like with USYK, Inoue and some others but sometimes for a number of possible reasons it doesn’t. To me Callum Smith was one of those. It isn’t his fault either, but it’s made him on paper to look like something he isn’t. Again, to me, I felt Ryder beat him, it was a close fight though. So I would say he’s in and around that level. He’s not got any wins to say otherwise. Only one is Groves, who should not of been fighting he was that injured but he wanted the big pay day and can’t blame him.

@@Jordan1223_ Pretty much agree, there are a number of good competitive domestic fights Smith could be in. When he was due to fight Canelo I knew he had no chance and same for Beeterbeef. His match making like you touched on has been poor, knock overs or people not at their optimum weight then top guys of the division. Kidding himself on that he was somehow at that level. Would be a good fight against Yarde, he might win but I just have the feeling that he will not be able to keep Yarde discouraged enough so Yarde will eventually stop him.

Even if he was dropped in sparring, little Usyk wont be dropping him. He has dropped no one in the Heavyweight Division, he doesn't have the power so who cares? He can only win on a points decision, so Fury needs to outbox and outbox muscle him. Lump on Fury is my advice, seems like an easy job.

Think your forgetting Steve cunnigham was a cruiserweight who moved up to heavy. Had one fight at heavy against adamek before fighting fury. Steve wasn't known for his punch power with 11 knockouts out of 21/22 fights at the time, at 36 years of age dropped fury.
Fury has been down 7 times in his career. 4 against wilder, 1 against Steve cunningham, 1 against neven pajkic (who was a veryweak puncher) and 1 against ngannou.
So ye usyk can drop fury as fury is a little weak around the chin but always gets back up.
