Wow this is great!!!!! I hope he has somebody that he is passing down his knowledge hopefully a grand child or someone to apprentice under him.. that would be cool
He created a 12 part video series on his website that you can purchase right now and it gives you access to a step-by-step guide to making a knife the way he does
What a great interview! Thank you so much for making it. He looks so honest and modest man. And he reminds me of my grandfather and his garage, where he used to make his own knives for haunting. He also lived in South America for many years... I'm italian, so I'm proud of italian makers and Bob's collaboration with those companies.
Watching this forced me to change out my EDC from the Kizer Sheepdog to the Spyderco Sheepdog. It is a true "tactical" pocket knife by one of the greatest knife maker/designers of all time. 🙂👍
Watching this video makes me think we are the pinnacle with knife making in General there maybe some experimental locking mechanisms that will come and go some will live on. There will always be some new steels or soon possible alloys to make blades out of. But it feels in terms of design everything that can be done has already been done.

Yes he has 2 living sons and 2 grandchildren.
Don't worry it is 😉
Great man what a pleasure
Crazy the amount of stuff that goes into his craft. I’m trying to, but I can’t even begin to understand what’s what if I’m being honest. Much respect.
Here for it homie ❤

I love him. Sometimes the person makes you a fan not the product. This was the case for me today.
Bob’s 12 step program sounds like way more fun than the one I went through 23 years ago!
