I'll admit I'm a MotoGP fan ahead of WSBK but the race this year in Portimao was the best live racing I've ever seen. Respect.
I just came back from the circuit. What an amazing battle those two had... I've never seen something that spectacular in live motoracing. They were assuming a lot of risk there but always clean and nice. Glad to see next year the championship will end up in Jerez again!

@@verdeboyo I've seen many times MotoGP but this is really good because bikes are still really fast, good riders, circuit wasnt packed, everything was cheap... no rush, waiting times, etc... And the tickets were 30€ for the full weekend with VIP status and access to pitwalk. I mean was awesome.

I was there, too. Stunning race. To me, there really is no comparison between WSBK and MotoGP as far as value is considered. I go to GPs, and I like those too, but a proper WSBK scrap, the way the battles are fought is just...better, I have to say. And you get the same sense of speed and amazing sound and most of the time much better racing action for a lot less money. And the field for next year is absolutely stacked.
I agree with you that MotoGP is too hyped and WSBK is too underestimated.
For the same money, there is much more fun on WSBK.
I was on Magni Cours this year.
Again toprak Shows that hes another Level even with a slower bike. He can make it with bmw. Go toprak. Phenomenal season . I didnt watched sbk for year but these tree guys make this sport so intense.

Bautista went over track limits on the previous corner too, went off the end of the kerb. But apparently it doesnt count on that corner (the actual rule) Feels wrong

Next year tiny Bautista will have to carry nearly 10 KG of extra weight because of a new 2024 80 kg minimum rider weight rule, so lets see how this will play out against the amazing but much heavier Toprak next year ! That is not to say that Bautista is not one of the best ,but I am sure Toprak is better!

Toprak is a beast , shame about losing the win but it is what is ✊
The rule is “if you touch the green paint on the last lap you lose one position” (or words to that effect). It literally applies to every single rider and others have been penalised earlier in the season.
I was gutted for Toprak but there is no robbery or controversy here, just people showing how biased and easily offended they are.

@@DylanIhtiyar If EITHER wheel even touches the green paint that triggers the penalty. Whatever you think of the rule, that’s what it is and… it’s the same for every single rider.

@@XpliciteSportsPS4 First thing - it’s the same for everyone. They all know the rule and it’s the same punishment whoever does it so all that you just said is irrelevant.
The reason the rule is different for the last lap is that people were starting to take the piss and run wide to carry more speed on the last lap, and there’s sometimes no way for the others to fight back afterwards so a blanket rule was made and set in stone so that people didn’t cut the track or run wide to carry speed and win/gain a place on the last lap. Like I said, it’s not open to interpretation and the ALL know if they go off track on the last lap they will be dropped a place. The alternative is to let them just do what they want and people will start cutting corners or running off track to gain an unfair advantage and if they allow that then what’s the point of having a defined race track?

That’s the rule - touch the green paint on the last lap and you drop one position. It’s a fixed penalty and it’s the same for every single rider 🤷🏼♂️

how did he deserve the win when Bautista clearly beat him. There is no controversy here, its fair and square and even Toprak would agree I'm sure.
@@macsmith6216 The advantage was the entry into the last corner with tighter entry with carrying so much speed that pushed him outside. Before the "green" paint on circuits for the security, there would have been a gravel or grass next to the curb. Probably Toprak would save if it was grass on full acceleration :). Therefore, the rule of not stepping into the green on the last lap, not to mention the last corner exit.

Toprak is a lion but great ride from both.I want see toprak on a ducati against Bautista. i am really bit worry about next year with bmw that this became a disaster like when bautista was 2 years with honda i really hope we don't see the same next 2 years.But if someone can make the difference then it would 100% toprak.

What a brilliant race, Absolutley wrong decision from the stewards but Toprak took it like the sportsman he is. I almost feel like it was just so that Bautista would get his treble at home to win the championship. Oh well, we all know Toprak really won. Can’t wait to see him on a bmw with a closer top end to that Ducati
It is not wrong decision. These are the rules. Binder is the proof as well. In terms of gaining or loosing in this particular case if you ride on track you know that your point of entry dictates point of exit. Shallower entry wider exit and vice versa. Toprak squized inside and when opened throttle it was inevitable to go wide. So the advantage was at corner entry and thus he went on green. Sad for him but just decision.

Whether you like it or not Bautista is world champion and twice in a row too. Rinaldi with the same bike as Bautista and measuring practically the same has 377 points less than Bautista. Redding and Davies with the same bike did not win a world championship. Enough criticizing Bautista out of envy.
Redding wasn't that far off and the one Massive difference between Bau and Davies - Redding is weight. Great rider OP bike with his weight fact.

The quality of racing on display in MotoGP and WSBK over the past few years has been unbelievable, it amazes me that race fans still watch F1 😂
what controversies? Toprak only touched the green with a third of his rear wheel! but the rules apply to everyone! He has shown a race with an inferior machine that no one will be able to imitate him so easily! Also congratulations for Bautista, he is a great pilot. Toprak conjured this up on a much inferior Yamaha! Can anyone imagine Toprak on a Ducati! Nobody would have a chance of winning in the next 10 years!
The inferior Yamaha finished 3rd in the hand of a satellite rider. Who needs Toprak on a Ducati when you have Bautista winning 60% of the time LMAO

If he kept it on the kerb he still would have won, the rear wheel just slid wide, that was it. If anything it cost him time as it caused the rear to slide more
