Senate to convene to debate Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s impeachment

Senators are set to convene tomorrow for a special sitting in which they will canvass the proposed removal from office of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza. Also in its in-tray will be to adopt or reject the nomination of Douglas Kanja as the Inspector General of police. Ben Chumba with details of Senate’s intensive in-tray for the next two days that will see them determine the political fate of Governor Kawira who will appear before them for the third time in two years to defend herself following her impeachment by the county assembly.
