    Great little rifles..don't be surprised if it ends up being your go to plinking rifle when you've got a few spare minutes to use up😊

      I always go for the springers over the PCP naturally and it's a nice little rifle so why not??

    • @steve4697
      @steve4697 8 месяцев назад +3

      @keith6930 pcp's are like power tools really efficient and there's some jobs you wouldn't want to do without them, but springers are fare more tactile and more immersive somehow

    Love my hw50! After owning several Gamo and Crosman spring guns, the hw50 was amazing and worth the price

      Yep, sometimes you do get what you pay for. I know there are some that shoot above their price tag but they are few and far between

    Nice one on the 99 mate. Fantastic little rifle. Little pointer for you Keith, when you were shooting little tight groups buddy you were doing a decent follow through, when you were shooting open sights you were bringing your head up really quick which probably effected accuracy more than anything else 👍👍👍👍

    Great air rifle buddy 😁 Light and accurate, good for hunting too. Congratulations👌Hawke airmax or vintage 2-7X32AO will be perfect 😉

      I think a low mag scope and 32-40 AO max to keep it low and lightweight for sure

      @rapalaron6348 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@keith6930 Yes Keith, and 7x is enough up to 40 yards. I prefer the bit more expensive Airmax because of the thinner crosshair and the half dots. Just beware that the Hawke 2-7 don't fit in a one piece mount like the Sports Match dampa mount. You need two piece mounts or a short one piece mount.

      I'm after getting some one piece mounts over the 2 piece for the springers at least

      I have seen them, the breach wasn't that tight or snug with the AA pellets, I know if the head size is a little larger than could be an issue

    Might not be your scope mate I have 1 in .177 and it kicks like a mule had mine new it’s getting better but I was a little disappointed after how many some people raved about them but last time I used itwas getting 1 groups at 30 mts but it rattled the marks off the scope dial
    For me the verdict is still out

      This Niko Sterling scope was unreliable on some other guns as well, it was free and means that I can at least scope up a gun to shoot?
      Whether better mounts would be an option or just bite the bullet and get a new scope

    • @Beesa10
      @Beesa10 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@thesaltman6705 My understanding is the energy transfer to the pellet from the compressed air happens more efficiently in 22cal. It makes sense because in the larger calibre there is more surface area on the back of the pellet for the expanding air to push against. To send a .177 pellet out of the barrel with ~11ftlb requires a stronger spring than a .22 and a stronger spring means a harsher feel to the firing cycle.

      Yeah I know, get a little excited at times.
      The scope should have been to leave it alone that's for sure.
      I'm gonna be taking the 99 down the range before too long and will see about property zeroing it in from a bag and bench instead of off sticks
