  • @tommyvo7653
    @tommyvo7653 8 месяцев назад +2

    It's an interesting trigger mechanism, but I'm guessing it's not 100% drop safe. If the gun is dropped upside down, the sear would likely release the striker as nothing except some spring force prevents it from pushing in, unlike other trigger mechanisms.

  • @Liberty4Ever
    @Liberty4Ever 8 месяцев назад

    It's difficult to add innovative new features to the 9mm striker fired polymer pistol at this point, but Del-Ton did. I eagerly await some independent reviews of the DT20. I'm particularly interested in how it stacks up against the Sig P365, as well as durability and reliability testing, but at least from the specs and materials, this looks like a great new micro compact that might be my new choice for back pocket carry.

    • @anon_79
      @anon_79 8 месяцев назад +3

      I think you answered your own question. It's the hammer on the frame that detonates the round, not a pre- cocked striker on the slide. Therefore the frame has to be the serialized component. I believe there is something in the by-laws that states if a firearm is hammer fired, the frame will always be considered the firearm.

      They did drop, it was 1.5x the price, but it had some ergo issues. Immediately after, they announced the 5.0+ (or maybe it was called the 5.1, I lost interest TBH) that they claim fixed the problems with the 5.0... I'm pretty sure that's where they are now, and yeah, the whole thing seems dead in the water.
