I head to Flagstaff, Arizona to visit the new KC Hilites Headquarters, take a tour of their new facility and then get to instal the new (not yet released) Tital LED Light Bar. Oopps! For the second time in 8 years, I’ve had to pull a video after it was launched. I watched and rewatched the previous version numerous times to ensure I didn’t show anything I wasn’t supposed to, but I overlooked two clips that one of you thankfully pointed out. I tried to correct it with RUclips’s blur tool, but that ended up messing up about 2 minutes of the video and didn’t even blur out the section I wanted. So here we go, video re-edited and uploaded. I hope you enjoy this one and if you did, please hit that thumbs up!
😂 I was wondering what happened. I closed out the RUclips app, that didn’t work. Then I rebooted my phone thinking that was the problem. 🤣

lol I thought I accidentally hit something while watching the video! I thought there was that one part where you could see the front of the Jeeps head on w/the lights on but who am I to criticize, was too into listening about that Bronco set-up, I love behind the scenes stuff and the fact that all that goes into that bronco and their amazing film equipment combined with talent and knowledge to utilize it just to get “the shot” that’s just very very cool! Thanks for taking us along!

I had my first KCs in the early 80s. The bright yellow vinyl covers with black "KC" letters looked awesome and told everyone that you were a serious off-roader. 👍

What a cool opportunity! I've always had KC going back to my 91 Wrangler I built in the early 2000's and I love the Flagstaff area. A great combo!
We run a Gazelle T4 Overland edition, and have loved using it camping. We originally looked at the ShiftPod, but needed a bit larger area. We are also looking at the Overland.ish tents for a back up.
Was just at the KC facility in Flagstaff this morning getting some warranty taken care of on my Pro 6. Nick was fantastic and provided all the parts I needed. Really impressed with KC's warranty. So glad I selected KC Lights to put on my JL. Then tonight I saw your video. Guess I better order some spare covers for my Gen 2 Pro 6 lights before they go out of production. Thanks for sharing.
Back in 1974 I had a Jeep CJ 5 and put a set of KC lights on it. They were 100,000 candle power it said. When I turned them on, it was like the sun glaring! Always liked KC lights.

I started using KC's back in the early 90's. The smiling light covers looked great but the lights underneath worked really well. Glad to see that despite all the competition, they are thriving.

From the hue of the hood shine 35:35 and breaks shown in the floating dust down the center of the beams, I'd guess the Gravity Titan is a mix of Baja Design LP4 and Linkable XL. Love the color temp shown in the head-on shots.

Would love to send you some knuckle pod mounts for the jeeps. KC actually rated them the #1 spot to mount Flex Era 1’s in their recent blog post.

OK. The lights are nice and bright. Spotted that 1 clip showing the fronts of the vehicles. But I won't say anything! Noticed the new mounting for the lightbar. It looks like it goes down the whole pilar, rather than just beside the lights like the old one. Can't wait to see more lights in action! And that set up on the Bronco is way cool! I'll bet he gets some really decent shots!
This will be a fun wait. I love all kinds of lights and it'll be fun to see what KC is keeping secret.
Watched the 1st version this morning and really liked the fact KC has new digs in flagstaff. I really enjoy that area. Stop in the Toasted Owl Cafe for a big cup of Joe. I am looking forward to seeing the review and price point of the new light bar.

Great video. Love my KC’s and can’t wait to learn about the new lights. I also have a Shiftpod, love it as well, but I to have broke the ceiling poles a few times. Just wanted to let you know that I think it happens when you’re folding it up and putting the Velcro straps around it. The last one that broke I heard a very faint noise when doing that and it turned out one was broken. I’ve learned to strap it a lot looser now and I’ve been ok. Still sucks that it happens on such an expensive tent though.
That was a great video learning about the camera crew, very interesting!
One thing I noticed about the new light bar is that some of the wiring wasn’t completely covered. Just an observation. I’ve the Flex era 4’s and love them.

I totally get where you are going with that setup though. Is the Bronco setup going to be a regular filming vehicle for your @TrailRecon channel? Did you ever see a John Wayne movie called Daktari ?

I have the Pro 6, Love 'em...
Being that most people would change out the suspension of both vehicles when setting up for touring I would imagine the difference between the two would be closer with a good aftermarket suspension system.
I think I'm going to go up to KC today and ask to see their new light lol. They told me about it when I was there last time said that it will reach out a mile.
The deutsch connectors are an excellent choice for connectors on the new lights, but I would really like to see the gortex vent patches go and in their place a Nitto vent cap or something similar. The gortex vent patches clog quickly with dust and a little bit of moisture, and I've never seen one stay fully attached the life of the lamp (headlamp, off-road, or auxiliary lamp). I'm not saying they have to use Nitto caps specifically, they could even design their own like many light OEM's have.
I won't lie Brad! I was/am super jealous of all the new swag that you are getting with KC! I HAVE MORE KC THAN YOU DO LOL! Congrats sir! Can't wait to get my upgrade as well... If you like them. Any plans of coming back to vegas any time soon?
You should find a dowel or rod that fits inside the shift pod pole and sweep it in the tent as a quick trail fix. You should have removed the stake rope tie down to make it fit better.

I’ve wanted to ask why the lights are mounted so low on the windshield?
I know clearance is desirable. But being a tall person with the lower interior height a Jeep has, I would think those lights block your view out the windshield.
I look forward to your Gladiator project to see how the thinner bar looks and functions.
WOW Brad, always great to see a new video. I just want to add the fellow with the diesel heater, great set up, except he will have nothing but problems because the exhaust has way too many bends thats going to cause too much backpressure and overheating the unit
And you still have to add fuel somewhere. WIll have to carry and additional can. With the size, could of just mounted a diesel heater on the side
I’ve been trying to mount my Flex Era 1 light bar to my ARB Base Rack on my LC since December, but there’s no bracket that fits it so it sits in the box. I live in Flagstaff too so I want to rock some KC.

How do they keep the camera lenses clean while taking videos on the trails? I would think dust, dirt, mud etc. would pose a real challenge.
We don't haha. We just let it get dirty, adds to the feeling!

I don’t have any experience with those diesel heaters but should that guy have the exhaust pointed towards his gas tank fill ? It may not be a factor but just a observation I had. Just a dad thinking of things if it was my family sleeping in it.

The shiftpod is way too expensive of a tent to have 2 broken poles in 6 months. I would be disappointed too.
