It is the first time that I write such a comment for a tech channel: your videos are really commendable, I enjoy them. You are not showy, you articulate well, and you are incisive and right to the point. I hope you won't change as your channel grows
Just got yourself a new subscriber. I was searching for a bloody review of this monitor, well actually the 24 inch one, and couldn't find anything but rubbish overviews. Awesome dude, really awesome.

Joey Jaso qnix qx2710? I've been a little weary because no one ever upliads a video a year later saying yeah it's still working 😂 Also since they're imported from Korea, import tax/ customs???

The L24Q is 1440P, 60Hz, Ips, 23.8" diagonal length monitor that costs only 200$, it also has a display port connector so you can probably overclock it.
I'm so happy to see LG released a new model that very similar to 24MP68VQ and 22MP68VQ, but it's so hard to find any good review about those two older models. Thanks you for the review and info :D
I use LG 24MP68VQ and it too has that annoying "no image in bios" bug when freesync is on. To deal with that i have monitor connected simultaneously by HDMI and DVI cable, so i can switch to DVI if I need to access bios.
+Milky Way From what i can see it is almost identical as LG 23MP68VQ in the video, only with 1 inch bigger diagonal. However cables that it comes with are depending on the region . I got my delivered form Hungary and it came only with DVI cable, so I had to buy HDMI cable separately to access Freesync. But DVI still came useful for when i need to aces BIOS. Plug them both in and you can switch connection type from first monitor control UI disc. LG 24MP68VQ image seems good to me,although I'm not image and color correctness snob so someone with more keen taste might have different opinion. My only complaint is that blacks are not really black but have that usual faint IPS underglow, but i guess there is no way of avoiding that with IPS monitors.
HDMI = Freesync, no bios DVI = bios, no Freesync If you wanna do something in BIOS, then you just connect DVI, if you want to use 75hz, then you connect monitor by HDMI. And you can't get freesync by using DVI
I just purchased this about a week ago and decided to search for some reviews afterwards lmao. Glad I'm having the same feels and overall experience with this monitor.
i have the 22 inch version of this monitor and the colour output is insane, everything looks so colourful and beautiful compared to my old samsung monitor
Omg you helped me chose my gaming monitor. I dreamed a cheep nice looking monitor with 75Hz and here it is. I can t wait to order this beast. It fits right into my budget and I think this is the perfect one for me. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!! +1 Sub :)
I came pretty close to buying this but got the AOC G240VQ instead because there was a sick deal on amazon black friday. Tempted by the IPS, but broader freesync range + faster response time on the AOC and I personally prefer the brushed grey/black with red banner aesthetic to the glossy black plastic. It was frustrating that there was not a single major review on this despite being out for over 6 months! So kudos for getting one out.
I have this Monitor you can overclock it to 75hz at 1280x1024 or 720p resolution, For some reason i can really tell the difference between 60hz and 75hz monitor while playing CSGO, loving it
You are a lifesaver. I have this monitor, and I didn't know about this FreeSync bios bug. I tought my gpu or mobo died. But I'm still not able to use my monitor with my GPU (I used to do, but something went wrong, and now I can only use it with my integrated mobo gpu) It's realy bad, so I need some advices. (Sorry for bad english grammar, i'm hungarian)
Would it not be possible to just use a spare dvi cable and switch inputs if you need the bios while freesync is enabled? Will the monitor simply not recognise anything other than hdmi if this is the case?
hey man i have such an interesting story to tell you hope you enjoy it and laugh....basically i really enjoyed you review of LG 23mpvq monitor so i decided to buy it from amazon to replace my old one..guess what i tried to save some money and order a used one from amazon's warehouse deal. "BIG MISTAKE"....i did not know they had absolutely terrible delivery system. I had to return two different monitors that arrived late and get my refund.....as a last try I again ordered the LG moniter and specifically requested to amazon to not fuck me up this time....guess what they send me a new one with amazon prime delivery...hahaha i guess it all worked out in the end !!!
ur reviews are pretty decent, one sugg, b4 starting with ur part of the vid, pls give the basic description and specs of the monitor, like panel type, panel material (glossy or matte), refresh rate, response time, static constrast ratio and more; this is pretty helpful for the viewers who are viewing this monitor for the first time. Cheers
I like your videos, straight to the point and good quality video. This monitor definitely going to be my next build. With those quality and professional presentation... Bro, you really deserve more sub...
www.ebuyer.com/811133-acer-kg1-series-kg271b-27-monitor-um-hx1ee-b01 Hey could you review this please, im thinking of getting it but id like ur opinion
Great video. You totally convinced me to buy this monitor! Hope you talked more about how freesync works for this.. I have an r9 380 4gb card and would like to take advantage of the monitor being freesync ready. Will the freesync work with an hdmi cable or do i need to buy a display port cable? Thank you!
Woah, this is really great content. I like how to-the-point your stuff is and how well you explain everything. Also I'm highly grateful for someone from the UK who can post UK links to stuff rather than just US/CA links that make me mad because they've got better deals. I've subbed for more great stuff!
I'm glad to be on board, for sure! Quick question while I've got you; is there any chance that you know of a monitor, LG or otherwise, that is pretty much identical to this but in 27" size? Perhaps LG make the same monitor in 27", although I've taken a look and it seems that they don't. This monitor is literally perfect in every single way, but I just wish it was offered in a larger size. Thanks!
At 3:17 you say you can have Freesync 75hz refresh rate WITH an Nvidia card. However at 2:19 you say that Freesync requires HDMI and a compatible AMD graphics card..? Im confused about which one you mean? I just want to know how I can utilize this monitors Freesync and which graphics card I need for that, Nvidia or AMD?
Pay more attention. Freesync unlocks the refresh rate so it goes from 60Hz to 75Hz. This Hz upgrade affects both Nvidia and AMD cards. However, the actual frame syncing from the "freesync" function is availible only to AMD video cards.
While you're video was practically perfect, it was the fact that you included a Canadian amazon link that made me sub :p (yes, I know I could have searched it up myself XD but it was a nice touch :D)
i was thinking of buying this monitor so i searched up reviews of it and first result is this. Obviously PC Centric is tech youtuber so clicked on this faster than the new My Hero Academia episode
Bro, could you please try overclocking this monitor? As it is already at 75hz, if overclocking it might get to 90hz which makes it best value for money IPS free sync 90hz gaming monitor. Could you please over clock it and let us know the frame rate to which it can be OC. BTW very informative videos.
kiran maharia using a gpu that ia not compatible with your monitor will cause screen tearing, since they are not synced, this has freesync, for amds, you need gsync for nvidia
I saw ur review then I purchased this Monitor and an rx 480 4gb model and i'm really happy monitor looks amazing it got freesync and 75hz it is better than 60hz honestly.
Hi rack, dont warry, u r not alone, i got this shit too, and looks like a lot people have same problems... I will neva give a cent for LG shit... Thanx amazon, solved this problem to me, but second rma monito i got, still have same problem... So u decided to change monitor and good by black sreen problem lg...
Awesome vid mate! You sold me on the IPS tech vs VA/TN panels. Now here is the question. Which one? I see there is LG 24MP59G which is a bit more expensive and a bit bigger than the one you reviewed. What's the difference between these 2 models except the obvious screen size and stand?
I have 2 of this exact same monitor, here are my comments: When this monitor runs at 75hz, faint lines started to appear on colors like blue, orange and yellow. It is obvious and it's very annoying to me to the point that I will never use its 75hz capabilities again. Take this as a very good 60hz panel, at 75hz you will see obvious vertical lines, and this happened on both my 23MP68VQ, which proves it is a flaw of this model. One of them has backlight bleeding on the top left, and the same panel has an issue where motion (video, moving windows around) would show "noise" and it would only go away after turning the monitor on for 1 hour, like it needs to warm up or something. The colors of this monitor is great, one of the best I've seen in the price range, low IPS glow, but it does comes with some defects. I may write an update here once I bring one of them to warranty, and maybe a quick review of LG's customer service as well. Thank you, great video as always.
Andrea Tilli after 6 weeks, went to LG centre to retrieve my monitor only to find out no repair was done, all the problems still persists. Have to wait another few weeks now, I'm speechless
I am having the same issue, vertical lines are noticeable on the blue color when you enable FreeSync in monitors menu. It is better to leave it off. I also have a problem with the black level in monitors settings. When I put it on low, black is more vivid, but videos and games are too dark, when i put in on high, there is just too much grey.
Hi. What do you think about this monitor, but the bigger size 27MP68VQ-P? Is there any better option, similar price and specs (IPS, FreeSync, 27")? Thank you. Great video by the way!!!
Very nice Review,i am thinking of buying one of these since i got an AMD graphics card I have a simple question is the 23MP68VQ same as 23MP68VQ-P ? because i seen both names online and on shops
I must say - very good review. Did you had chance to check CS GO? I would want to know if you faced any sort of ghosting issues while playing games especially FPS games.
PcCentric, I've owned in the past a DELL U2414-8ms and absolutly no input lag.Now I want another IPS for my shooters and I want to know the input lag on this new LG series.
just revisited this vid, do u think this is still worth it? price is almost the same compared 2 years ago or would u recommend other in that price range
Hello. thank you for this complete review. The LG 24MP59G-P and 24MK600-B are similar to this 24MP68 or they are worst? If you have an opinion share it please.
hello, great video, quick question whats the difference between LG23MP68VQ and LG23MP68VQ-P my country seems to have both of them at the same price and i am curious on which one should i buy
Thanks for the great video wasn't aware there was suchl a good offer at this price point, do you still recommend this in 2018 or are there better options now?

are there problems if you connect this to an Xbox one
is this monitor better than

Hi P C Center
Great spec overview.
That model has now been discontinued, what model are you now recommending?
Thanks
Hi. What do you think about this monitor, but the bigger size 27MP68VQ-P? Is there any better option, similar price and specs (IPS, FreeSync, 27")? Thank you. Great video by the way!!!
thanks! great review!
Hello again! great review just like the phanteks case :) Just a question will this also be good for gaming?
Yep, unless you only play FPS this is great option
