  • Usp Match Trigger vs Grey Guns Legion Trigger
Hey guys id like to do a interesting comparison today between the match trigger that's installed in my USP expert and the Grey Guns trigger that's installed in my Sig 226 Legion. They're both great triggers but I feel the Sig edges it out by just a couple inches. Let me know which you think is better.

I thought Expert models came with tall front sights?

    If I was buying a 9 i'd go 226, but I'd rather have the USP 45 expert!!

So you’re really comparing a Gray Guns trigger to an HK trigger. SIG is just carrying the Gray Guns trigger.

The 'click' you mentioned in the USP's double action trigger pull is only there because you are pulling the trigger after you dry fired the gun. The hammer is in the fully forward position, which is not the normal starting position of the hammer in double action as it is compressing the firing pin. The hammer in double action is supposed to rest on a safety notch similar to a half cock, causing that 'click' you hear when you pull the trigger from a full hammer down position. Notice that the hammer doesn't go all the way back forward if you release the trigger after you hear that 'click', and that the hammer is buried a lot further into the slide after it is dry fired compared to when it is brought down using the decocker. This characteristic is not present on the Sig as it uses a rebounding hammer.

Oh man thanks a lot for that info! I definitely did not know that. It all makes more sense now. They are both great guns and I love shooting each of them! I got more videos on each pistol, if you notice anymore details in the other videos please let me know! Really appreciate your comment friend 👍🏻

The usp more reliably triggers your cat.
Best da/sa trigger probably going to be an ltt worked 92 with their trigger bar and the new match hammer.

@@badengrishSi not as good as a ltt 92 imo. Then again the only comparable ones I've only played around with were a friend's cz customs and cgw one.

Reset? No big deal. Creep? THAT is important! The crisp trigger = the best trigger. HK wins.

The polymer vibration you speak of is something I've really noticed as well in every polymer frame 9mm handgun I've shot. I don't like that feeling. I wish I could test an HK USP. I think what may be minimizing it is their "recoil reduction system." Teufelshund Tactical did a good job of actually explaining how it works and it's not just a gimmick - it actually uses another spring to help absorb a lot of the initial vibrations. So in guns with less recoil than 9mm, I think polymer frames are fine/preferable, but with 9mm and above, only the HK USP and possibly the Beretta PX4 Storm seem like they handle the recoil impulse/vibrations well enough, at least in my opinion so far. Interestingly, some aluminum frames like on CZ's have a very sharp impulse that I hate - this is likely due to a lower bore axis which transmits much more energy quickly and directly into your hand vs into flipping the gun. The steel framed CZ's don't have this problem though. The Beretta 92 feels fine, and the SIG P226/P229 are nice feeling IMO.

No cats were harmed during the filming of this presentation. The opossum on the other hand is nasty 👎💥🎯

Both great guns, how’s the follow up accuracy with these two ?
I’ve got the expert 45, sig p220st with srt and the cz 97b with stock trigger; out of all three, the cz is smooth as glass, like a s&w revolver.
Try a cz shadow 2 when you can.

Oh man! The accuracy on both of these is top notch. That’s a sweet setup! Dude the next pistol on my list is the Shadow 2!

Why don’t your throw the Grey Guns Short Reset kit in the Expert along with different power hammer spring? It will lighten your double action pull quite a bit and give your delightfully shorter and crisp reset.

    • @LLpros
      @LLpros  3 года назад

Oh snap! I didn’t even know grey guns offered a short reset for the Expert. Hmm I may do it but honestly I don’t feel like the stock one is that bad. That may change one day though. Thanks for the info bro!

@@LLpros to clarify, they make a SRT kit that is for the USP. It will fit in the expert as well. As the internals are all the same. One thing that blew my mind is the LEM light trigger. Check out Sean Burrows channel on HK shooting and his video on the LEM trigger system. I converted my USP to LEM (light) with the SRT and which I hadn’t waited so long. The trigger badass.
