I've got a tiny number of negative feedback on my eBay. Exclusively from people who bought something without reading the description. But despite me reaching out to them and offering to work through things they ignored me. Sucks.
I have free returns. I feel that if you don't offer free returns, some people might do something to the item to make it a Item Not As Described (INAD) to force a free return. Not only does that effect your metrics in a negative way, you then can't relist the item because now it's damaged. It works for me because I do not sell electronics or excessively heavy items.
luckily i sell comic books and free returns is pretty easy for me. Average comic book costs 6-7 ship, and most comic collectors aren’t looking to return a comic lol rarely ever happens

6 or 7 dollars to ship a comic book?
Free Returns only make sense for clothes i would say.
Until you out of pocket on something big. And it's not your fault 😭 wonder if you would still stick with this reply of yours
