Welcome! to my new ambient series! in this realm we will explore all different types of nostalgic, retro and older styles of sounds, visuals and emotions ranging from old VHS films to first ever computer sounds/visuals etc.

I decided not to add any engine sound effects as I thought it'd distract from the nostalgic feeling, but let me know if next time you'd like more sounds on top of music!
This one has took me quite some time and work to do, a lot of transitions and merging, making sure everything connects perfectly, I hope you'll enjoy this

Honestly, I prefer the old PCs of the past. It was a much more innocent and imaginative time. I look back on those days happily.
Same here. Grew up with Windows 95, 98, then XP in my most formative years. Building pokemon/dbz fan sites with basic HTML as a 3rd grader while most of my school teachers didn't even know how to access the internet yet.
I like to think there's a little computer happily blasting through space with his own tiny rocket!

I remember buying gaming and computer magazines every month and spending hours reading the reviews while looking at the beautiful pictures and wondering what it would be like to possess all these incredible pieces of software. 30 years later, I have finally caught up with the reviews

These soundscapes are great. If I've got some pressure or stress, these really calm my mind. I can listen to them over and over again.
As someone that practically enjoys older Windows in today's environment, despite their outdated state and all, first you've drawn me in with 95 being relatable, then it was 98 to fly over my expectations completely and now this NT(4) one...

@@RetrovexAmbient Oh man, the answer to that question is "it's complicated" 😅 My first Windows was 95 though, back when the Start menu was new and exciting 😄

Dude this is so awesome! That opening is golden haha both the logo reveal through the old computer, then the flying computer! Music is great too love that the old Windows sounds are distinguishable and still blend in so nicely. Fantastic job!

I have no idea how you create these things, but they are incredibly beautiful, and pay a true homage to each operating system (I especially love that with NT, you took it out into an ethereal outer space since its default wallpaper/startup screen shows the stars).

Holy mother of Joeseph, as if the 95 and 98 ones didn’t make me want to levitate to the heavens more! Listening to this soundscape on Skullcandy Crusher Evos on maximum bass is an ethereal listening experience that words cannot match. Wondrous work!

The very beginning of the Windows Login sounds like the start of a Bird of Prey decloaking.
Really liked the 95 and 98 pieces both for the nostalgia angle and the great ambient tracks.
The NT track has less nostalgia to it, but still holds up great as an ambient piece!
Less Nostalgia? Mayhaps for you, I oft visited my grandfather's workplace where Windows NT 4.0-based machines were rife from the mid-90's through the early 2000's. Those were true workstations, he ensured a hospital's backup power plant never failed. Those machines were reliable as ever, even as external electric providers weren't!
@@phenom957 Oh, NT is nostalgic, but it doesn't have signature sounds like 95 and 98 did - at least not in my memory.

These soundcapes are are really cool. Ithink for me the XP one will hit the hardest. Although my first computer was win95 and upgraded to 98, I can't really remember the system sounds very well from them and I missed NT entirely :-(

Wait, NT is older than 95?
NT 4.0 came out in 1996. And technically "NT" still exists, it's one of the two Windows' kernel (the other one being 9x, that was on 95, 98 and ME). Win10 and 11 are both NT 10 (officially... in fact they should be NT 6.4)
