We as humans forget that our planet is unique to us. To other civilizations with the ability to travel across galaxies would be a waste of energy as there are planets with way more resources than ours. So if they are interested in our planet it's because of us as intelligent creatures, not our resources.

The only reason I think they would come to our planet with violent plans would be that they are oxygen/nitrogen consuming organisms from a doomed planet looking for a comfortable and safe home. Space ships can not be more comfortable than paradise haha

You’re in your back yard, you see a worm a very simple organism that has been on Earth for millions upon millions of years and has not changed much or even at all. You have the choice to either squash it or move on. When you move on (maybe even if you squish it) you would more than likely forget about the worm moments later because let’s be honest, what significance does a simple worm have to you?
If aliens do exist and are so technologically advanced to the point where they can traverse the vastness of space I doubt they would even pay attention to us, humanity being the worm. Not sure if that made much sense but hey, they could very well already be here we just don’t know and we wouldn’t know unless they wanted us to.

I think they would see us the way we look at neanderthals. Very primitive. A worm would be a stretch. But I concede your point. We could be looked at as insignificant. Or they could see us as a potential threat given our (mostly the US, Russia, & N Korea at this point) lust for war.

I can’t say I agree with this.
Intelligence allows us to treat the universe as a tool. There’s no reason a superintelligence wouldn’t regard us as just another means of maximizing a social fitness function.
This also explains the Fermi paradox: intelligent civilizations don’t want to stand out. Because if you stand out, you open yourself up to exploitation by a potentially more powerful civilization. So they are all hiding.
Your statement regarding intelligent civilizations reminded me of a story, and I thought Id share it with you. Technically its a creepypasta but...
Anyway, a man is listening to radiowaves in space, hes sending signals out to other systems when he receives a signal back. Hes all excited, after so many years hes finally come in contact with another intelligent race! The signal is nothing more than a few blips and lasts for only about 5 minutes, but its definitely there. He realizes the signal is coded in binary, so he starts translating it.
