    Props to the trainer, the two bikes I train on indoors are a track bike and a thru axle gravel bike, can confirm finding something that could hold both ends of the spectrum was unreasonably difficult for 2023

    • @JohnMFlores

      Blackburn made a trainer that could accommodate a variety of wheel sizes in the 90s. I have one. This looks similar in concept. Good idea

      It’s the same/similar idea behind the Cannondale Lefty fork

    • @enzochoi923
      @enzochoi923 9 месяцев назад

      @@BirdmanDeuce26no, 'inverted' forks have existed on motorcycles for years - because they're better: the seals are lubed, and the stiffness is theoretically better. None of the internals are changed (aside from orientation), unlike Lefties.
      Lefties are about reducing weight and the special slider system - in addition to the spring and damper being in the single tube.

    Another great show of ingenuity. I applaud all the participants for their thoughtfulness. I Can't wait for the Velo Orange shifters. Just what I was wishing for this week as I want to swap different resr wheels on my older bikes (cassette and freewheel) and avoid making shifter and cable changes. And those customizable bars look so comfortable.
    And it is great to listen to the people who imagined better things and made them happen.

    The friction brifters look amazing, so from what I understand every time you push one of the levers it would pull or release the cable the amount you pushed, but if you want to go all the way you can do it in two or three shots? That would be amazing, this way you could actually get used to how much to push the lever to shift x amount of gears, and you can adjust/trim it with the other lever to be dead center... I just wish it was done in shimano style levers instead (sorry campy lovers I just can't stand the thumb mechanism) but that might have to do with patents.

    • @jimhize
      @jimhize 10 месяцев назад

      The nice thing about it being campag style is you can press both levers simultaneously to shift one way, then slightly back the other. Campag levers actually work like this if the springs that push against the ratchet ring snap.

    The Titanium drop bars would be good if the joint, drops and bars were connected by a bolt. That way if you want to change the bar width you keep the joints, drops and just change the main bar

      Not a 29er, an eBike, a FatBike, Cargo bike, or even smaller bikes like Brompton, or BikeFriday- it also does have the load capacity for heavier bikes or riders - we would break 3 of the Kurt Kinnetic trainers / year due to the volume and weight the bikes- we’re seeing 500+ BikeFits/ year
