- This GCI (Great Coasters International) wooden coaster is 96 feet tall and reaches speeds over 47 mph. It opened in 2006 and is running better than ever thanks to some re-tracking and a brand new Millennium Flyer train.
Beech Bend Amusement Park, Dragstrip and Campground is located near Bowling Green, Kentucky.

I go here every day of the summer! I go on this ride so many times! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
I just went there today’
This coaster looks totally awesome! I haven't been to Beech Bend Park since the 1970's and will be going back soon.
Brake run be like "Not today! Have fun taking this awkward turn at 20mph! lol!!!"
roller caster jokes he he
Eat your heart out Pegasus!
Solid fun wooden coaster here! Good pacing and twisty layout as per usual with GCI.
Honestly my favorite coaster because that park is so easy to get on multiple times in a matter of hours. Depending on weather you can get really lucky.
Ugh I love this old ride so much😇💖
This roller caster is frum 2006 which means it’s 10 yrs old
It not 20yrs old
This ride is seriously underrated
I truly love this ride me and my lil cousin rode it till it closed one time it's the best 😍😍
I love the ride. It’s the shake you have gotta love
Is it really as smooth as it looks???
Darryl E. Carr it sure is that smooth, they put KY jelly on every moving part of the ride including the operating staff each morning for smooth running.
I'm dying laughing here! Too visual! Seems VERY well maintained for a coaster over a decade old. Love when that happens!
yes it is
Darryl E. Carr yes
Darryl E. Carr NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It is almost like a precursor to the RMC template. There are no flat spots at all on this ride.
aussieskates this is currently 2 wooden casters still opening in Kentucky
Kentucky Rumbler is a pretty good GCI but the layout seems it was build 1995. ^^
Troy at Toverland opened in 2007 and is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than KR.
The layout is nice. It seems like a smooth ride.
It is not smooth at all
I wish you guys could figure out your camera shake issue. I'd really like to stop relying on TPR for POV videos.
This is currently only 2 wooden casters still operating in Kentucky
The other being Thunder Run, if I'm not mistaken.
I ride that roller coaster and was so fun!!!!!😝😝😝😝😝
Jane Kim it’s a gci but the only one that feels like a real wooden caster from the manufacturer
I've been on really high tech coasters but the Rumbler makes me feel like I'm getting beat up. And having a heart attack. It's a super fun and one of a kind and worth the ride. It's rough. Lol.
Looks like a great ride, I love the regular wooden coaster structure, it's gorgeous. Not like the newer, ugly, half-assed, hybrids.
I rode this roller coaster 3 times in one day
Is it just me, or would this make an awesome RMC coaster.
I pulsllxed a muscle on that
Edit:sorry I just had a stroke lol
Wyatt Walker it’s really fun tho but I felt drunk after I was on it 😂
What kind of Camera do you use? I have a GoPro hero 5 (4K) and the quality looks similar.
Needs a major re-tracking
Ive ben on that at beach bend im going to beach bend tomarrow and im 8😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
your lucky and im also going the week after next week on sunday
I was there today
Well now my mom forgot and were not going
ツNoZey_YT oof
I've rode this before my mouth was so dry after
I love that ride my cousin fainted on that ride
I wish it had loops to go upside down
I went on that and my head hurt so bad
If you ride this coaster and your seat has a shit stain and finger nail marks on the handlebar that's my old seat. Sorry bout the mess
Looks nice. But wooden coasters give me headaches, so I'm all for smooth, steel coasters...
Damián Vila I understand where you're coming from. Last week I went on three wooden roller coasters at Holiday World. They were fast and thrilling but, at the same time, they were rough and jerked us around, and we felt as though we had been beaten up by the end. Would I go on them again? Oh, yeah!!!
Really the only coaster I found rough at Holiday World was the Raven, and it was just a little shaky but only in the back. I was actually surprised by how smooth the Voyage and Legend were! The Legend is definitely in my top three favorite wooden coasters! The other two are also in my top five.
Nah, it's all about raucous coasters like this woodie :)
Elias Mertens I loved them all actually and none were "too" rough-lol- I guess by "rough" I meant I did not put my hands up like I do on almost every roller coaster I have ever been on. The first wooden roller coaster we rode there was the Legend, and it did jerk us around and was rough, but a lot of fun- lol! By the time we rode the Raven and the Voyage, I did not think they were as rough as the Legend, but I did not take a chance and put my hands up, because I did not want to have to end up having to make an appointment to see the chiropractor as I had to do once in the past (that was after I went on the Vortex when it first opened twice in a row at closing time when the lines were really short, with my hands up). I LOVED both the Raven and Voyage!
It was funny as we were talking to this large group of young adult boys who just got off the Legend when we did and were holding their backs, necks and heads mentioning/ "complaining" about the ride being rough, said they liked the ride, but that nothing would ever compare or come close to the Beast. We had to agree! 😐 Imho, the Beast IS the number one wooden roller coaster, and I always put my hands up on that one! 🙆 The three wooden coasters at Holiday World are up there for me!
Anyway, that was my first time at Holiday World, and I would definitely go back (and we may be going back in a few weeks actually) but I probably still would not put my hands up on the Legend lol. The other two, probably! ☺
Yeah. Huh. That is weird that so many people think the Legend is rough. Really the only part I got jerked on was going over that second hill before the spiraling drop but the rest was fun for me. My top seven wooden roller coasters are all wooden coasters that were new to me this summer: 7. Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom 6. Raven at Holiday World (even though it jerked me pretty bad, but I still thought it was a blast!) 5. Racer at Kings Island 4. Voyage at Holiday World and my top three are hard to decide. I guess I would have to say 3. Mystic Timbers at Kings Island 2. Legend at Holiday World (I just loved how out of control it felt at the end!) 1. Beast at Kings Island.
this looks fast on video
The brakerun
I may look scary but it is not it is really fun I road it
I did not like this rollercoaster. Felt like a rollercoaster from the Dollar Tree. I’ve ridden other wooden rides and this one wasn’t good.
Do you ever look at a comment and say dang I wish I would've commented that
Nope
Patrick Jewell Not until now... ;)
Patrick Jewell Do u ever look at a comment and say, that guy isn't original
That happened with this comment
I hated that shit😂
:(
MikDe why
I Cant Go On That Rollercoaster Cause Im From Finland :(
MikDe neither can I im from England
You have Thunderbird at Powerland which is also a GCI. I rode its clone, American Thunder at Six Flags St. Louis and it is a blast!
This is going to be RMCd in 5 minutes.
Infinite Inferno yes after getting new trains and being just a fine coaster, this tiny park will RMC this relatively new ride.
Nah it's gci for a reason
LOL! Yup!
I wouldn't call an 11 year old ride new, but it definitely doesn't need RMC treatment.
Infinite Inferno no it just need new wood or a steel sport structure
