How long did the night sweats last? I’m 48 ..wasn’t expecting hot flashes so early BUT OMG. there were quite a few weeks this summer I woke up soaking wet and then I remember running around at 8 o’clock one night doing errands just dripping., so hot. I could feel that my hormones were out of whack. Then I had a regular. That lasted about three days in August followed by spotting for two weeks! And then no period at all in September. I thought good Lord, is this the grand finale? But then, no, it reappeared in October. I hate the unpredictability of my body now. 😭

I was listening on spotify and had to come here to comment...
Talking about people pleasing being a form of protecting yourself, I don't think I've heard in such plain words that it hit me so hard. Thank you...

Wow, this is such a terrific podcast. I loved the menopause discussion! None of the females in my family. Talk about this. None of my friends discuss it either. I’m in my 40s learning about perimenopause on RUclips.
And I love the book suggestions! The one by iyanla Vanzant sounds right up my alley!

🐈‍⬛ Patty Panther 🐾 Both of these ladies and their mothering skills give me hope for the future ♥️ I'm a female elder millennial and just like these ladies, nobody told me to plan for the feelings hormonal cycles would bring and that in doing so it would bring an inner peace. At least you have a sense of predictability and deeper understanding of yourself and your biology when armed with the information. People accuse women of being crazy all the time, best to not have an inner monologue mirroring the same. Most girls have the innate compulsion to pick themselves apart and when they don't have a good starting point, a stable home life, or unconditional sources of love, it's especially tough. Life can be so unfair. It would be nice if kids could be provided with all the education to best navigate it . I'm so happy kids are being brought up by mothers who have updated understandings. Really hoping LeeAnn releases her book sooner rather than later 🤞📚
Side note, I always have to double check how to spell LeeAnn's name and it really bugs me - the first descriptor of her is "wife of Bert Kreischer." Bart Crystals is amazing but she deserves some more credit!!!

I'm wondering why LeeAnn's regular gynecologist didn't tell her to switch from birth control to hrt! At the age of 50 ofcourse that should have been the way to go!

I just listened to Mel robbin’s podcast all about hormones and menopause. She had hormone and menopause expert Dr Amy Shah who claims that the pellets are no good. They give the woman too much testosterone, and they were only designed to make money because you can charge for the testosterone.
Did LeeAnne say she was on the pellets?
