Love my weekly chats with momma Leanne. She’s so comforting to me ❤

Loved this talk so relatable LeAnn. It's a good thing you at least had your father as a role model. My mom was selfish and neglectful and my father left when I was 3. Dissociating, avoiding, the hyper vigilance, and the self-sabotage that comes with these kind of childhoods never goes away. Finding someone who doesn't feel sorry for you but rather sees your value beyond your trauma is 'your person'. So glad you two found it. It took we years of neglectful, emotionally unavailable, insecure, abusive relationships before realizing this is all familiar childhood situations that I need to addressed.

I feel like I always learn something from each of these podcasts.
Ton of childhood trauma never thought of why I can’t ask for help was bc of the shame and that is exactly what it was… damn thank you for the insight

Ppl root for authentic ppl whether their good ppl or if their kinda jerks they’re not pretending to be something they’re not.. Leanne seems authentic, kind, smart etc (& I think she’s soo pretty lol) so ppl will root for her even when they themselves might be going thro hard times or a bit pissy lol💝💝

Every time I hear Leeann talk about her mom it makes my heart hurt. I have such abandonment issues that in my now 40’s, I can’t stand to being close to people; I am so damaged that I have spent the last few years completely pushing everyone away to the point that I am so alone, I have no one left. After my 18+ year marriage fell apart, my Cptsd has kinda kicked into overdrive & I am so stuck. I have a very distant mom& in turn I have become distant to my own kids& I hate it.

honestly .... ""pushing people away" is often used by people trying to justify acting off-putting and bonkers.... be nicer!

@CReese-os8fc I like when Cy Amundson let's Chad on to guest host, but I'm not sure I'd make him a permanent part of the MoSU ;)

this is way too long of a man talking about his feelings. manhood doctrine dictates a maximum of 15 minutes.
