The Garrett tractor was awesome to see. My great grandfather was Dwight Garrett, the maker of that machine. Awesome to see his inventions still in action. I’ve worked in his parts building moving old parts around, and all the parts he used were super high quality. It’s nice to see something I’ve never seen from him, he mostly is known for his logging skidders here in Washington, and was a big part of the logging boom here in the 1960s.
Amazing! Cannot wrap my head around how complex those tractors are. Just the gear box alone would be a modern marvel! To top it all off the man is in his 80's!
This was absolutely awesome, some hella cool farm equipment there. At one point he said “50 years ago this would of been amazing” if you ask me it’s still amazing!
That garrett twin drive sat in front of garrets office in enumclaw washington for years, he also invented the loggong skidder. Dwite Garrett was a super nice guy, and a true mechanical genius ,he built some amazing equipment
Saw the Garret tractor while visiting Auburn, WA. It was parked by the roadside under the awning of an old abandoned gas station. We stopped and crawled all over it. Quite a unique piece of engineering. Glad to hear it actually was a working tractor, not just some concoction for show. Doubt you'd want to try to start one of those diesels with that crank on the front of the tractors.
This is type of old timer I grew up around. There were so many fellows around like this guy where I was from that were absolutely able to create and do nearly anything the imagination and creativity were second to none.
Powder River To be fair: now you can't even disconnect your car battery without having to call for assistance to reset your ECU. You even have to be carefull if you attach jump leads.
This tractor was parked outside of a dealership in Enumclaw. It was so well done I thought that it was actually a production tractor! Little did I know it was a one-of-a-kind. Dewight Garrett - Absolute genius.
Some people got it and some don't. This fellers definitely got it. He built some amazing tractors that look like they were factory built plus he enjoyed himself while building them.
what you have is magnificent and I don't care what anybody thinks or says about them I know you love all of your tractors I think they are just cool looking
I've seen this model tractor parked in front of Garrett equipment. Dwight Garrett, from Enumclaw Washington. His company is also famous for skidders used in the logging industry. a legend here in town.
Very nice work. Its truly a shame that the generation of Harry probably forgot more than we will ever know. That generation was when a man and his tools and thoughts could produce a product that would stand the test of time. Instead, today its IPhones and computers and cars that park themselves. Great video and hopefully someone close to him was able to gain his knowledge and continue his era of craftsmanship...be blessed.
Pfeh, I don't care what garbage anyone says about this man, he was an artist and he was always original, he did what he did for the sheer love and enjoyment of it, he was anything but someone who was egotistical!
Obviously, a man of some vision, no small amount of talent, know-how and cursed with not being able to sit still for any length of time. That is how I want to go, standing up with my boots on and a tool in my hand. Mike
To think, it farmed for 30 years! Long before the era of articulated AWD tractors, too! Also, having only non v-grooved turf tires, it must not have been used for plowing as turf tires can't bore directly into topsoil.
Nice tractors. I just can't believe what he did with them. I love Internationals. At an old state hospital I once worked at, we had a few Internationals, including a 444, a 460, a 504, and a 706. All worked great and often saw daily use into the early 2000's, though they were from the 60's and early 70's. Say what you will about state workers, but many of them loved the machines that they depended on. The hospital has since closed, but I hope some one has taken the old tractors in and put them back to work. We also had a Cub from 1971 or so that still ran nearly as well as it did off the assembly line.

That last tractor with the floating halves looks like a ‘copy’ of the Euclid twin engine dozer from the ‘50’s too. Pretty cool.
Amazing! Cannot wrap my head around how complex those tractors are. Just the gear box alone would be a modern marvel! To top it all off the man is in his 80's!

They're insecure and jealous of his ingenuity.

If he wasn’t dead, that would be a great idea.

' Are I love you going
I've seen tractors mounted end to end (does), but never seen this before, side by side, verry interesting, and well done.
Dewight Garrett and Harry Lee would be great to share a meal with and listen to 'em talk about this bad boy.
This is why America is great. Indiana of course. No Mainer or Vermonter would have the balls to build this.
The thumbs down must be people who don't like old white guys cause those tractors are awesome
Well, HECK!!! Awesome stuff.
Much respect for this man!
Rick Whitaker, That is so awesome cool love them ol Trackors. Van Buren Ark.

Especially love the triple threat tractor. Outstanding work on all the custom hand built tractors!!
My uncle was a farmer,, the shit that guy could build,, amazing

Great tractor
The International Garrett 400 is like the world's first skid steer.
Du jamais vu, fantastique, merci!
Thank goodness
Seems like he found something he loves
Harry Lee was born on June 2, 1921 and passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2010. We have lost one of the great men of our time.
R.I.P.

Wish I could have met him and told him personally how awesome I think that both he and his tractors are. Though I'm sure he knew.

Harry Lee was a national treasure. He'll be missed

What a genius, he did such great work.
the tractors he made could be mass prodused to be used as small farm tractors
When did he pass? and do you know what age?
Thor The Northern shut up, You can learn a lot from ur elders
good old hard working farmer.
BTW, that Garrett tractor is no doubt very impressive, especially using turf tires on all 4s! Never seen that before, sweet!
tank drive! .. wheels don't need to turn l/r
