In all seriousness this video could never possibly cover everything that Martian Manhunter has done even after I excluded Pre-crisis material, particularly when it comes to his telepathy. Some other things like the infamous Godhead telepathy feat were simply too vague or not concrete enough for me to be happy including.

It's so weird how underappreciated Martian Manhunter is despite being one of the founding members of the Justice League. It's great to see you do him justice.

Justice league does him a disservice, outside a few episodes where he shines, he is always getting sidelined when the villian happens to blow up some tanks that are always convieniently next to him. For someone who has such a strong fear of fire, he is very unaware of his surroundings, which makes him look far less intelligent and less powerful than he really is.

My man, Martian Manhunter is a beast of a powerhouse and an excellent character as well. Been a fan of this legend since the DCAU.
I love when you do these videos about the powers and feats of characters. I would love to see one about Zatanna. She seems very powerful, but you never seem to ever hear about her and she seems underappreciated.
After deathbattle I have a new respect for zatana. That women is so god damn strong.
One of my favourite scenes of her was in Justice League Dark after she got a bit of Mordru's power and she actually tore the comic panel, it was very cool.
@@thenexus7343 I agree but I feel like death battle is an unreliable source when it comes to power scaling most of the time however their last fight with Zatanna seemed very accurate. However I have also seen many of their videos where they are totally inaccurate and they contradict themselves it seems with most of their fights they focus on how much of the majority will like the outcome instead of accurately depicting the winner

I agree 100% with the Spectre, he's way more powerful then people think he is but there's also a lot of misconceptions about him and his powers and role in D.C.

Martian Manhunter is basically Superman with extra powers and is only without the unlimited potential to grow insanely more powerful. Which is kinda funny.
Well he's Holdin back superman. Manhunter bassically admitted the entire justice league plus mrie couldn't stop superman is he wasn't mentally handicaping himself so much. Which is dumb. I'm glas they gave superman these mental weaknesses. Keeps him a interesting character

Loved tuning into the live premiere. Had to pause for a bit though, just finished the vod. Fernus has some crazy feats. They don't really scale directly to Martian Manhunter beforehand, do they? I figured they might scale to MM after though.

That's almost all of the league,if Hal Jordan was written at his peak all the time he'd annihilate all of their villains alone,let alone the heavy hitters like supes,billy,or J'onn.

I was literally about to comment on one of your videos that you should do Martian Manhunter, and when i saw the thumbnail made not t long ago, a pleasant surprise.

My third favourite DC character finally gets to show how powerful he is. Carl Lumbly was perfectly cast as MM in the DCAU, Whenever see MM in comics I imagine Carl's voice.
His greatest power is being teammates with Booster Gold and Guy Gardiner at the same time. That's mental endurance.
Funnily enough, Martian Manhunter's crippling fear of fire and his addiction to Oreos are what keep him from becoming a threat to everyone.
Of course, we got Fernus but I remember an issue (forgot what it's called) where the JL gave J'onn an intervention for his addiction and he literally took it out of his brain with a combination of his shapeshifting and telepathy. His addiction manifested as a black goo monster that wiped the floor with most of the League and infected them, forcing their addictions to be even more crippling than MM's that they couldn't fight at all. So J'onn took back his addiction and split among each of his cells so it wouldn't be as strong as before.
Martian Manhunter is just one of the strongest JL members, especially once he gets rid of his psychological weaknesses considering that his addiction to Oreos nearly took out the League.

thanks a lot fort that video on my favourite ever hero. Now I hope some of you might understand why I always bragged about him so much in my comments and compared him to Dr. Manhattan (even exaggertaedly): With all of what he is he can be seen as simply one of the biggest idols and thus as one of the most important ones in all of comic book hsitory.
Man the more niche anime RUclips community needs to push content like this more instead of the “what if ____ had small pox in a beatbox battle in naruto”. Not trying to fully bash other content creators but like that avatar video was a masterpiece and hasn’t broke 10k, it’s such a shame.
MM: Superman, but replace kryptonite with fire, trade overall stats for mindcontrol and shapeshift. Oh also higher magic resistance too.

I think you missed a really good scaling feat where Martian Manhunter one shotted Sebastion Ballasteros, its impressive because in the same comic Sebastion had beaten Superman badly.

@@seanao32 I mean,Martian Manhunter couldn't hit a mentally weaker doomsday hard enough to be a threat to him,then Superman came and absolutely tanked everything doomsday had,even breaking the bones on his knuckles with his chest,then he proceeded to stomp doomsday.
It seems like this is one of those things that goes both ways,and just cancels out,becoming a mute point.
I don't like using bad writing as an answer for anything unless it's absolutely inevitable,but in this case it's just different writers who want a different one to be stronger.

He's covered in orange flames from an attacker when u notice it starts too look like he's evaporating away becoming consumed by the fire 🔥until suddenly the flame changes green and u hear Jon's voice.

They ask where he is,to which he responds.

If you want someone misleading absurd, there is plastic man with his unlimited form change. He is stronger than superman, more resistent and self repairing than everyone else, and became a literal ocean a couple times.

Most Martians should be able to do the same types of things that he can do for instance they should all have telepathy and super strength but J'onn is a particularly powerful Martian and is a lot better at these things than most of them.
