I have been using embroidery machines for many years. I am very much enjoying your teaching. Even though I have been at this for many years I'm still learning. You are a wonderful teacher ❤️

I agree, 4x4 is a nice size but I need a bigger one too. Please stay tuned because I have a surprise coming soon in future videos.

@anniemarieng I actually bought the repositioning hoop but never even used it. I ended up buying my Pfaff Creative 4.0 machine and I use it for larger designs. Most the time when I'm doing embroidery I have both of them going so having a smaller machine is really nice to do a smaller design while my larger machine is doing more complex designs

@anniemarieng I knew that I wasn't going to be happy with only doing 4x4 designs. I really wanted to be able to create quilts using the edge to edge quilting designs

Hi Jennifer! I don't know if you can help me but I'm having trouble with my brother se635. I have been able to sew, except on a test run and flocked vinyl. Everything I try starts to gather in the back and then creates a knotted sewing mess 🤦🏽‍♀️ I've contacted brother, they have no videos and the tutorial they sent, I had done that already from the manual. I feel as if, if I was able to raise the foot to a permanent position, then I'd be able to sew, but I don't know how to do that. Can you help me???

Hello, for the vynil you may need to get a Teflon sewing foot. A Teflon sewing foot looks like a white plastic sewing foot. I bought one on Amazon for under $5.00. The regular sewing feet will stick to vinyl. What you can try is put a piece of paper over the top of the vinyl between it and the sewing foot and see if that helps or underneath of it where it's on the sewing machine so it can move freely. Also when you start sewing make sure you hang on to the ends of your thread tails and pull them gently as you start sewing that sometimes helps prevent the puckering also your tension can be incorrect.

@jenniferssewingandcreativity I'm sorry if I confused you. The vinyl is the only material that I successfully sewed. I've tried a spandex material, and old cotton head scarf, and old cotton tee, jeans material and velvet, they all gathered in the back and tangled. Do you know how I can raise the foot? I feel like if I can raise it, that would fix the issue. I normally sew by hand but I'm getting older and becoming too much lol and I haven't used a sewing machine since the 90s, I can't remember what brand it was other it was white and my mom had it in a table and raised it when we used it

@@lillee1379 The only thing I can think of is to check your needle and be sure you are using the correct one for the type of fabric you are sewing. Google "What sewing machine needle Do I use for certain fabric" then you should get some needle / fabric recommended charts. Then what I mentioned earlier about grabbing the thread tails behind the machine when you first start sewing, also you can use a cheater piece of fabric, usually a small scrap, to start sewing first then your fabric your using for your project. The cheater piece of fabric will give you a leader to sew and then you start sewing your main fabric. It helps the needle establish some stitches before actually sewing your project piece. I hope that's understandable. There are also charts on proper tension for certain fabrics and certain needles.

Can I ask where your additional sewing feet were in your box? I just got my machine today and I can't seem to find them. Thanks!

Yes, mine were in the little white plastic bag, it looks like a white plastic envelope with a snap on it. I almost threw them away. I only found them after taking all the Styrofoam from the box and double checking everything.
