- Less than 24 hours after landing in Los Angeles upon my return from Romania, I drove across the country in 3 days to spend some time with family.

The rest area you were at in Alabama is about 10 minutes from where I live.

That drive through the Permian Basin of Texas is one of the worst stretches of road that I've driven.
it really is brutal... I was north of it this trip, but I’ve been through many times before!
