Did she get the Academyh Award or even a Nomnation for Rosemary's Baby? That was pretty stupid of Frank Sinatra to divorce MIa because she wanted to finish a Movie. MIa was good in Rosemary's Baby. They did make a sequel to it- a TV Movie which I don't think she was in. The title I believe was "Whatever Happenned to Rosemary's Baby. It focuses on her son when he grew up. Would he turn to the Dark Side or stay good like his Mom, Rosemary?
@@smurf902 How could I forget about Babs, lol? Kate had won the Oscar solo the previous year, then won again the next year tied with Streisand, as you said, smurf. I must apologize--I checked since I wrote my post last year and saw that I was mistaken--believe it or not, Mia was NOT Oscar-nominated for her Rosemary Baby's performance! 😫 It was a crowded Best Actress field that year: besides Hepburn and Streisand, the other Best Actress nominees that year were Joanne Woodward, Vanessa Redgrave and Patricia Neal. Fwiw Ruth Gordon won Best Supporting Actress for Rosemary's Baby.
I thought it ws the Writting and Directiing that also made he Movie as well as the Supporting Cast. She was great in the Role. I asked in an earleir comment if she received or was nominated for the Acadamy Award for her role in Rosemary's Baby. Do you know the answer to my question- Steph?
@@HoldenNY22 If I'm not wrong she was nominated but didn't won, from this film the only person to win an Oscar was the actress that plays Minnie, the neighbor, she won best supporting actress
Frank had not one hit record in 1968; he was doing cringe cover versions of "Little Green Apples" and such. His movies by then were all corny flops. But Mia was America's Sweetheart; she had been BELOVED as Alison in Peyton Place before jealous old Sinatra badgered her into quitting the show.
I could listen 👂 to Robert Evans tell stories from 50 years ago all day! 😅
Soooooo good

Nominated, yes. Lost to Katharine Hepburn ("The Lion In Winter.")
ETA: My mistake, Mia was not nominated. See my subsequent post, below.
@@perpietait’s kind of hard to beat out “Kate” for an Academy Award 🙌
@@perpieta Halfway true - it was tie with Streisand in Funny Girl

Robert evans one of the greatest but so was sinatra. Mia farrow had her moment in time but sinatra was sinatra
Two geniuses found each other, and the rest is film history. 🎬❤️🎬
Many great things in this.
Aster ot not one? that is the question lol
wonderful clip!
Mia was very strong during this excruciating time. She loved Frank and carried the whole movie on her shoulders.

Yes, I forgot her name for a sec, thank u
What is the music in the background towards the end - who is singing?
That's the theme from Rosemary's Baby.
It's Mia herself. Whisper singing the theme in the beginning and end of the movie 😊
Yeah, she was a bigger star then Frank ?!?! What a joke! She wasn't even close.
Bigger movie. Academy award.
She was bigger than Frank for about 3-4 years. Frank peaked in the 1940s. Fact.
@@rufuspipemos .. frank peaked? Ok brother, whatever
That’s Robert Evans hamming up the story. Sheesh Sinatra defender

Never mind - it's the theme - i haven't seen the movie
Mia Farrow actually sang the theme as well.
