The trouble was always in the big cities. Away from that life was AWESOME. I was born mid Fifties and it was Great ! Dick Nixon ended the war before my number was called. The music was fantastic. The feminist of our time are doting grandmother's today, that is, unlike today, They got over it !

Judging from the videos i've sen and the comments i;ve read on youtube, i think the parents of the baby booners and adults in general of that time were to blame for the Youth counter-culture of the 1960s,

@josephasner171 No, the youth of that era went largely against the values and norms of their parents. There was significant external influences that had a profound impact on young people of that time. Dare I say conspiracy? The Boomers were a highly programed generation as well as a very conformist one. Virtually all the young men let their hair grow long, they all dressed alike, experimented with drugs en masse, turned their backs on culture that wasn't contemporary. Gloria Steinem and Timothy Leary were CIA.
Single draft aged Rock stars of the time were seemly imune from the draft in spite of living highly publicized hedoistic lives. The culture we have today can largely be traced back to the Boomers. If it was all intentional, then I don't know the purpose of it. But being a Boomer myself, I don't believe there was anything organic about the change in our culture.
